Over the next 12 days, we will be focusing on products that can give you the inspiration to do some last minute shopping, beginning today with 12 fantastic items. Whatever your taste, we're sure you'll find something perfect amongst these fantastic products…

1.We start off by bringing you some real eye-candy for the watch and clock fans among you. This classic desk clock from David Linley brings a simple elegance with three beautiful clocks featured in a walnut case. This would look fabulous on any desk.

2.This P6520 Heritage is an edgy number from Porsche Design and looks like a car tyre, perfectly representing this most revered of brands. The hidden compass inside is removable and will no doubt ensure that this model is high on the intrepid explorer's most wanted list this Christmas.

3.A fantastic silver Rolex is available from Fourtane. The "Panama Canal" model is a breath of fresh air and looks stunning and modern in this colour scheme. This is well worth investigating.

4.Next up we are happy to see that our favourite customisers the Bamford Watch Department have struck gold again with their gorgeous take on the Rolex Explorer II. It's just pure class and a proper mix of style and substance. This is something we expect to hear big things from, don't miss out.

5.Officine Panerai is offering a great looking analogue watch with classic brown colouring and soft edges. This is the watch equivalent of hot chocolate; smooth, luxuriant and comfortable. The easy to read dial make this perfect for those who prefer the less flashy options.

6.Meanwhile, HD3 Complication has come up with the Black Pearl- this extraordinary timepiece for those who want something a little out of the ordinary. It is based upon pirates and buccaneers and the design is really spectacular, with a sci-fi feel coupled with flashes of the past.

7.Our next entry is a stunning humidor containing 100 cigars. This is another item by Linley who always deliver top quality goods. The box itself is a model of the Partagas factory in Cuba which is so cool and recognizable, we love this box and if you know a cigar fan this will go down a treat.

8.Trek have ushered in what we at LGB think is the next big era in cycling- perfectly designed custom bikes. From a starting point of two basic model designs, the options swiftly open up allowing you to truly customise everything that goes on, in, or with your bike. This is not just a style exercise either, Project One gives you the opportunity of choosing all components and fitting which can lead to some seriously cool designs and riding perfection. If you're serious about cycling, then hop on over to their website, you won't be disappointed.

9.Also for petrol heads, the Yamaha VMax Concept Bike is a stunning new design in collaboration with Hermes. For a motorcycle, this is about as luxurious as it can possible get, with a brown leather upholstery counterbalancing the machinery, bringing a natural feel to an elegant design.

10. This is one of the coolest things I have ever seen. Whilst this is not likely to help you rescue cats stuck in trees, the Jetlev is likely to make anybody feel like James Bond. If there is a must-have gift this year for adventurous souls, this, surely, is it. Q, eat your heart out.

Beautiful jotter pad covers from Corter

These pad covers are beautifully simple and elegant. Nothing garish here, they have a lovely natural feel and are perfect for those who prefer something a little more traditional. If you can get your hands on them I recommend them highly.

The Brooklyn Tailors

I love this store which offers very high quality clothing. Really smart and luxurious, these items are all produced individually which really put s them a cut above some other brands. I would certainly recommend them for custom-fitting tailor made shirts.

Funky colouring pencils

These Coloured pencils from Poketo are really cool and will be at home with adults or budding young artists. The colour is vibrant and bright and the quality is very good, these are not just a gimmick. The body of the pencil is made of recycled newspaper, both sustainable and very funky and original looking. This could be a good stocking filler in the run up to Christmas.

Astier de Villatte

These are wonderfully fresh scented candles which I just love. My particular favourite is Alcatraz, partially because of the divine fragrance, but also partly because the name is bold as brass and entirely unique for such an item.

Cool moisturiser that helps a good cause

Artist Jeff Koons is behind Kiehl's new holiday Creme de Corps moisturiser. As good a cause as moisturising dry skin might be, I would suggest that this is secondary to the good cause that the profits from this product go towards- helping to combat child sexual exploitation. The product itself is great and smells fantastic, so if you get the chance do get hold of some.

I travel so much and one of the most irritating aspects of the process is getting through airports the luggage. Now there is a great new website dedicated to relieving the weary traveller of this banal task. I cannot recommend this enough, travelling is far easier and much more enjoyable when you don't have to worry about baggage.

Lubiam

Italian fashion label Lubiam have made themselves into one of the premiere places to achieve made-to-measure brilliance in both formal and informal wear. I love the attention to detail in their handmade designs as well as their desire to use only the finest fabrics.

Harking back to 1911, the label is family run and continues to set the bar high for quality custom apparel. If you’re in the market for a new tailor made suit, I recommend you take a look at their website.

Demon Bells

I came across this brilliantly quirky idea the other day and they have really caught my attention. Based on traditional warrior cultures from around the world, Demon Bells are reminiscent of totem pole designs and are bound to give you an extra boost in your workout.

Traditional kettle bells tend to look boring and bland, as any fitness enthusiast will know, but these ones break the mold and are particularly cool with Hallowe’en coming up.

iPhone 4 Stacks case

This is a novel invention from Erik Arlen that will help spruce up and personalize your iPhone4. You can build your own case using sections that can be stacked together over the phone, giving it a good protective case as well as making it look that little bit funkier.

I really like this idea; it appeals to the creative in me and transforms a potentially generic item into something more interesting.

Adidas adiPure Barefoot Training Shoe

This new range from Adidas is really interesting, as it aims to help your feet act in the way that nature intended by promoting pure and natural movement. I often read articles that suggest that traditional training shoes can be damaging to the feet and the posture, but these new ones may just reverse that trend.

The look of them is distinctive and somewhat unusual, with separate toes making them look like a glove for your foot. According to Adidas, the posture that this will encourage is better for your entire body, from toes to vertebrae.

I would suggest taking a look at this gym-friendly product, it’s the latest in training footwear and is likely to become the next big thing for those serious about fitness.

Barton Perreira

Barton Perreira’s approach to fashion design is seriously edgy and cool. I caught a glimpse of these amazing glasses recently and they wouldn’t look out of place whilst driving, on the catwalk, or even on the red carpet if you’re so lucky. They are being favoured by LA’s A-list so you’ll be in good company should you find yourself with a pair.

With pure old-school class and a great appreciation of current trends, I would recommend these to anybody looking to make a statement with their eyewear.

Kanye on the Catwalk

The glitterati were out in force to witness Kanye West's fashion show debut; everyone from Lohan to Leto, to the Olsen twins were there, and rumour has it the likes of Rihanna, Jay-Z and Beyonce were back stage watching the show online. We bagged ourselves a seat at the Lycee Henri IV Paris last Saturday night to see the great man in action.

The LGB reporters loved seeing Kanye's line and viewing the celebs that turned out to support him, his Spring / Summer 2012 line was full of luxurious fur, leather and lots of flesh! Not sure how that would translate to real people in real life, but who cares?

For a first stab at the catwalk, we give him an encouraging thumbs up.

The iPhone 4s has landed...

It's here.

I've unwrapped it, plucked it from its perfect little box. It's finally here, in my hands.

And..... The hype was not worth it. Aesthetically, it's exactly the same phone, and I freely admit that in these cases I do judge a book exactly by its cover, but... on closer examination, the phone has won me over.

Thinking logically, Apple was not going to radically change the design so soon, because the iPhone 4 is a slick and sexy piece of kit already. This next generation smartphone has taken a big leap forward, but as a customer, it's one you won't notice at first, until you start playing and comparing the improvements in tech and user interface.

I am more in love with this next generation iPhone than I thought I would be when i first saw it.

Azature

The jewellery house, Azature is a breath of fresh air in the world of rings.

This modern ring design comes from almost 70 years of time tested craftsmen. These rings are the must-have black accessorise to compliment this season's colours.

The signature nut design is just amazing. The design brings both masculine and feminine together in one great piece. Mastery, their other great design brings together the ying and yang of ring design in one black and white ring that's truly a must-have accessory for the hand.

This hand-candy company is causing their rivals to shake in their boots, as again and again they're responsible for making stunning rings and not conforming to the normality of the ring world.

In their own words, 'Azatrue' symbolises seduction, rarity and power, and I would agree they all in abundance.

45 Park Lane

The Dorchester Group, the hotel chain owning some of the best hotels on the planet has just opened its doors to a new hotel, 45 Park Lane. This new hotel is based in the heart of London. 45 Park Lane opened at the beginning of this month, and is a hotel already making waves.

45 Park Lane is a hotel with a strong 1920's look and feel about it, with every modern amenity you'll ever need. The rooms have that feeling of pure elegance and luxury, and for me, one of the greatest touches, free WiFi available to guests.

The hotel is based a stone's throw away from Hyde Park, boasting the most fabulously stunning views of London. The hotel also hosts an amazing Wolfgang Puck restaurant, 'CUT', so the food is guaranteed to be top-notch. Do check out the Library and the Screening Room, as well as their amazing cocktail bar, 'Bar 45'.

This is a hotel that has all the bases covered. 45 Park Lane is located on the exact spot of the 1960's Playboy Club, so you just know this will be the hotel of the new jet-set crowd, as well as a few old school playboys.

NEX-7

Sony's new NEX-7 is coming soon and we have managed to uncover some images and some techie info on this professional mini camera.

The side is really quite simple, the camera has Carl Zeiss lenses which are considered to be one of the best lenses around. The camera has a TruBlack LCD display, so that the images appear much clearer. I know what you're probably thinking, and if you're thinking of comparing it to the the transition of wide-screen to HD, don't - the TruBlack is amazing.

Rumour has it the camera will have an impressive 24 mega pixel sensor and only a 0.02 second shutter time lag, making it the true professional's choice of camera, but one for everyone to use.

This new NEX-7 is going to be on sale in Q4 of this year, just in time for Christmas, and I can not wait.

The Homer Board

Nowadays, when you say 'Homer' most people will think of Homer Simpson, as opposed to Homer's Odyssey. I know I do. Now, Matt Groening's iconic yellow-faced man has been taken to yet another level.

The guys at Santa Cruz have created the ultimate homage to the yellow-faced head of the Simpson family, turning him into a skate board, so that Bart can ride his father's head around Springfield. He's now the skate board of choice, and the ultimate skate shape!

Being a cruzer board, it's by far the best board for gliding around the city or attempting tricks whenever you feel like it. It's an odd combination of brands, but I'm pretty happy this collaboration has happened - boarding round town with a super-fly smile on your face knowing you have this cool retro board under your feet.

Eat my shorts, dude.

Naturally Cool Kids

I've gone a bit potty over sun creams recently.

The sun barely has to show its face and I'm on the hunt for interesting new products to try.

What drew me to Naturally Cool Kids was the fact that it's natural and it's for kids!

I'm so used to slathering myself in expensive sun creams which, no doubt, are full to the brim with god knows what, that it felt rather satisfying rubbing this in.

One product I couldn't get my hands on was The Vapour Stick which also looked cool and helps to clear a stuffy nose and ease breathing. You can find most of the range on line at John Lewis

They cost £75 and come in loads of colours.

J'adore Paris Part Trois

I've been in Paris a few days now and admittedly, my love for this beautiful city had changed a little bit, but last night I went to La Societe, an amazing restaurant ran by the guys behind Hotel Costes making me fall in love with Paris all over again.

This is a chic restaurant in every sense. The food is amazing and the style of the place is just plain sexy. La Societe is the latest hang out of the uber chic and to be honest, I can't blame them. The staff compare with those that work in some of the best restaurants back home in NYC. La Societe has put a new stride in my step when it comes to my love of the most sexiest city in the world.

Today I awoke in Coste and went for a walk down towards Colette and into Goyard. I've totally fallen for their pink print, so terribly glamourous in every style they do. Stealing myself away, I walked on to my meeting with the amazing handbag design house Corto Moltedo and en route, discovered a fabulous beauty spot, Jardin du Palais Royal. Located in a beautiful part of Paris, Jardin du Palais Royal is just so French and completely stunning. On the square is also Corto's shop when you can happily fulfil your shopping addition.

My day trip wouldn't have been complete without a look at the Ralph Lauren car collection. He has some of the best cars in the world here in what I think is the most perfect location. I have to say, I do love it when a huge power-house brand like RL use something like a personal car collection to market a brand. Just too cool.

So, with only one day left in this city, I'm already sad at the thought of leaving, but happy to be here in my hotel room typing this to you while looking out at the sun setting in the most chicest city in the world.

Well Seasoned

We want to introduce you to Well Seasoned, a charming website dedicated to promoting British seasonal produce.

The best of the British seasons and the best of British food are brought together by Patrick, Alex and Twig under their campaign 'Food for The Here and Now'. Their purpose is to change the way the Brits eat food, for the better.

I particularly love their inspiring and funny blog - you can follow the three foodies on many adventures around the British Isles, learning a thing or two about the most delicious seasonal food along the way and how best to catch, cook and eat it!  The website is packed full of handy tips, recipes and news on what's good to eat when. There are seasonality charts relating to different food groups available on the site to download and stick up in your kitchen.

It's a great movement championing the best of British and we agree, 'keep it seasonal'!

If you're looking for a new sun screen then look no further than 'Supergoop', brainchild of Holly Thaggard whose mission was to create an everyday UV protection for all with no nasty parabens!

I stocked up on line at Supergoop, where you can find everything from serums and sun sticks to lip balms and wipes.

I loved the look of the 24oz jumbo lotion which would protect the whole family for just $68.

Father's Day

If you've left it to the last minute and have yet to find the perfect gift for Father's day, worry not for LGB have pulled together their top 7 ideas for this special day.

All men have a secret love of James Bond and will go mad for these Walther PPK cufflinks by Longmire which have been carved by hand in onyx and are mounted on white gold.  They're expensive at £4,240 but what can you expect from a 00!

If your father is more in touch with his feminine side then he'll adore this Iris Fume Croc Wallet by Bottega Veneta, £695.  Not for the man who would say 'Bottega who?'

And for the more traditional Dad, this Jermyn Street Collection Brush and Bowl Gift Box Set £35 is just the ticket! From Taylor of Old Bond Street

If he's in to his music, then these  Urban Ears Medis headphones are off the hook.  They come in an array of cool colours and fit perfectly in the ear.  Easily the best headphones we've seen.  And if you want to really push the boat out, maybe team with the latest pod with a few choice playlists.

Any man of any age will like the harking back to childhood this book brings and it sure put a smile on our faces.  Get 75 yrs of DC Comics: The Art of Modern Mythmaking for £135 from Taschen.

For the naughty Daddy, take him to London's newly opened Playboy Club London or better still, get him a membership.

Then if you just want to let him know you're thinking of him and wish to send a card with no carbon footprint, check out Paperless Post who always manage to have the coolest, most interesting cards you won't have seen before.

An Interview with DRx

1) If you had to drive only one car for the rest of your life, what would it be?

A 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS

2) What's the most exciting thing you've blogged about this year?

Upcoming DRx watch project with George Bamford.

3) If you died and went to heaven, what outfit would you rock up in?

Khaki Anachronorm corduroys, Visvim FBT’s, RRL button up, my 1960’s G1 Flight jacket, Elder Statesman beanie, Parrabellum belt.

4) Tell us about your upcoming projects / collaborations - what's next for you this year?

DC Comics project titled DRx VELOCITY where the governments have lost the war against crime and DRx responds to the threat by designing a line of supercars, rigged with state-of-the-art weaponry and technology. The first issue is starring NASCARS Kasey Kahne and showcases the artwork of legendary Phil Frost. Dropping this summer.

A collection of DRx reconstructed Cowichins for Barneys Japan.

The adventures of DRx’s Beetle Bailey continues into the holiday season with a bunch of surprises in the pipe.

A Fraggle Rock music compilation featuring original music by a variety of artists inspired by the show.

5) What's your favourite iPhone app?

The Hipstamatic camera app.

6) You're renowned for mixing the best things from the past with the present - what first propelled you to do this?

Vintage. I’ve always been intrigued/inspired with vintage. Vintage being everything from childhood memories to classic gear. As much a I love and respect these throwback chapters in time, it sometimes can be a bit challenging to revisit them (rock them). The jeans don't fit right, the jackets have too much damage, the memories although intact seem a bit cloudy. I wanted to preserve these slices of history but flip them so they made sense for today's consumer, and myself of course.

7) What makes an amazing weekend? Where would you go, what would you do, and with whom?

I live in Los Angeles so getting outta here every so often helps to keep me grounded. My favorite weekends are spent in the mountains disconnecting from reality. Would probably say snowboarding at Mammoth Lakes CA and or Jackson Hole WY with a couple of buddies.

8) As a kid, what first did you want to be when you grew up?

A Director.

9) If you were stuck on a remote desert island with five celebrities from both the past and the present, who would they be?

Brigitte Bardot, Jim Morrison, James Dean, Jean-Michel Basquiat and Marilyn Monroe.

10) What's the worst popular fashion trend there's ever been?

Socks with sandals is a definite no.

Dubai hotel

If you're like me and have a love-hate relationship with Dubai you'll love the Desert Palm Hotel, the place I stayed during my last trip. This hotel is truly an oasis in a Las Vegas feeling city.

The hotel is a mere hop, skip and a jump from downtown Dubai an establishment where you'll feel totally relaxed and not at all like you're in the hell of a tourist hotel. Desert Palm hotel is owned by the Per Aquum Ggroup, a high class, stylish hotel chain making big waves in the world of luxury hotels.

Desert Palm is based on the polo grounds where Cartier hold their famous polo match, if you make time you could even indulge in a polo lesson. For those after something a little more relaxing Per Aquum's signature Lime Spa is on hand - a masterpiece in relaxation.

The most important thing for you to do is to book yourself a suite with a pool. Dubai's raging heat will mean you'll be living inside if you don't have a means to cool off! Desert Palm also has a little shop within the hotel for you to get your reading fix (and sweet fix!) and it's a must to check out.

Dubai is for me not, but with the Desert Palm Hotel on offer I'm considering my next trip with a better mind set.

An Interview with Josh Spear

I know you're an intrepid traveller, where is your most favourite place and why?

It's hard to choose favorites when there is so much left in the world to see. I absolutely love the countryside of Japan, specifically an area called Hakone. And Tokyo is an unbeatable city.

What item can't you travel without?

Curiosity.  Travel doesn't work without it. But I guess you're looking for a more concrete answer. I don't leave home without Melatonin so I can fight jet lag. Or my Blackberry– that thing has more miles on it than anything.

Where in the world do you call home?

I call NYC home, even if I haven't actually had a home there for nearly a year. I've been fairly nomadic, so I have a good selection of hotels that I call home (and they call my home) when I'm in NYC. Home is where the heart is, and luckily I've figured out how to carry that feeling with me wherever I go.

What's your most cherished item?

I have some pretty incredible pieces of art I've collected over the years– some early Takashi Murakami. I also love my watches. But my most cherished items probably are my health and freedom– so I can keep this crazy schedule up.

What would you consider to be your greatest achievement and why?

Figuring out early there was something I am good at, that makes money, and makes me happy– all at once.

If you had to choose a favourite modern day car, which car would it be?

Fisker Karma. Henrik Fisker designed the DB9, and now he's making a DB9 to save the world.

In your opinion which fashion line do you consider to be unrivalled and are there any particular individuals shaping the future of fashion?

I'm at odds with most of my favorite fashion lines right now. I used to be a die hard Yohji fan, and a big buyer of his Y-3 line– but they seem to be having quality issues and just not quite getting it. Dior Homme is a favorite, but they sometimes seem to push into the obscure rather than continue with the modern classics.

I like what Thom Browne is doing and how his pieces are mixing the future with the past– and what he did for Moncler was fantastic.

What's the best shop in the world?

Colette in Paris probably. Although Japan has a couple rivals– one of my favorite for clothing is Edifice and of course United Arrows is a mecca. Dover Street Market in London is classic.

You're famous for spotting the next big thing - what's exciting you most this year so far?

Technologies impact on how we alter behaviors and empower communities of people to share, change, and create a better future. I travelled to Sub-Saharan africa last year with a friend working on a project there and I couldn't believe I had 3G cell service in the middle of nowhere, a thousand miles to the nearest city. That's going to change everything. Everything.

Has there ever been a trend or a craze that has made you cringe?

I wasn't ever so fond of people wearing Crocs in public, despite their comfort and functionality they really should be left in the garden.

Interview with George Bamford

LGB has a large base in the States - tell us about the set up over there, where can we get hold of your products?

Bamford Watch Department has a few dealers in the States, we're in New York, Los Angeles, Miami and Hawaii. We also have a service centre in the States and we have just set up our new offices in London as well.

We'd love to know a bit about you, who are your three ultimate style icons, who excites and influences you?

James Dean is one of my style icons, he's so cool without having to try. Terence Young is the man that gave Bond his style; Young was the director of Dr No, the person that made Sean Connery a style icon. On this list I could mention Steve McQueen, a definite style icon, but his name has been trampled on too much by commercialisation. The other person I think is amazing is Cool Hand Luke, also known as Paul Newman. How cool that a certain Rolox Daytona is now in his name. He's an amazing racing guy, a fantastic actor and also has his own food range. Paul Newman is an one of my biggest influences and icon - he really does tick every box.

We've heard you're a massive film lover - if you could be any character in fiction, who would you be and why?

I would love to be Batman, the man in black with the coolest gadget car, not to mention his wonderful day job and those fighting skills. Truly every man wishes he was Batman, to be able to fly but with no other super powers besides those amazing gadgets and his strength to take on the world. He is so cool.

Your favourite film of all time?

Well as I have just blest Batman then I should say Chris Nolan's Batman. There was a time when it would have always been any Bond movie, but the last one put me off all of them. I feel more excited about going to see the new Batman flick much more than Bond 23. I do feel so sad about it, but Batman has definitely taken the role of the coolest action hero along side Jason Bourne.

Where is your ultimate weekend getaway and what would the weekend involve?

Wow, that's a question that's made me think. . . However, I'd have to say Paris on the Eurostar to stay in a very chic and sexy hotel. There's something very sexy about Paris. From shopping at Colette and Finger in the Nose for my son, to dining out and experiencing fine cuisine. The city is just wonderful.

I also love going to Paris as you can avoid those annoying airport delays due to frogs on the line etc etc... As a weekend getaway, Paris is just the place - from London you can be so quickly in the centre of an amazing city.

What are your five must-have items to take with you around the globe?

A good pair of headphones. I love the B&O ones. A good notebook - I like writing down my ideas and I am in love with my moleskin notebook, they alway make me feel special when I write in them. I always have in my bag a picture of my wife and baby in a small old school sliver picture frame. I cannot live without my iPad, I feel as though it can do everything for me, both entertainment and work wrapped up in a neat device. Lastly, a good pair of shades. I am in love with my Hogan's sunglasses at the moment.

Being a watch designer you must have a passion for gadgets - what would you say is the latest and coolest gadget out there?

Well, when you think of gadgets, you now only think of Apple. I love their products but I personalise them as I think personalising products that are made for the mass market is just so much cooler. You can create an individual look for already cool looking products.

What's your favourite watch?

My favourite watch is one of my own personalised watches, a Bamford Watch Department Rolex Daytona Paul Newman dial. This is a truly sexy watch that I've not taken off my wrist, it pays homage to the original but being cased in a modern watch it's from the best of both worlds.

What's your oldest and most treasured item of clothing?

An over coat that was worn by Peter Sellers. It's a black over coat with fur around the collar. It's totally falling to bits but this winter has just gone on and on, I did not want to take it off. I absolutely love it and love to think that it's a truly vintage piece.

iHealth

How come when you put the letter 'i' in front of any product name everyone assumes it must be cool.

Well, in the wake of the amazing iPad 2 there's also been a raft of other great products on the market, and this is one of them. This is the iHealth Blood Pressure Dock.

I know it sounds odd to think that Apple and health care could go hand in hand but in this case, they do. This is such a great product -  you just put your iPhone into the dock and it turns into the best blood pressure monitor system you've ever seen.

How is it that Apple is the power house, able to make any product look sexy? If you're like most of us and constantly think that something could be up health wise then this is one more step to sanity.

This blood pressure monitor could also prove helpful to your doctor as the device can plot and store the history of your blood pressure so you're already a few questions ahead.

This product also will work with your iPad 2 and iPhone and most other sexy Apple devices.

Shhh... I have a secret to tell you...

I went to the movies and I loved it. That was because I went to Secret Cinema, an amazing trip in the world of movie going.

This is where cinema comes back to life. I first went along a few years ago when it was only small, and since then it has just grown and grown. It is a truly amazing night out. If you're ever in the UK and are able to register then this is the night you should be going too.

Secret Cinema is a cultural movement offering a fresh new way to experience the movies. You simply register and then you receive a text or an email telling you where and when to go. It's both amazing and also a little scary as you don't have much time to get yourself into character before the night.

I can assure you it will be a movie you'll love because these guys pick quality movies. You're going to be in for an amazing experience.

Shhh... Keep Secret Cinema your own little Secret.

New Years Resolutions

It may well be boring to start with such an old brand, but to me, they're absolutely classic!

'Follow Your Dreams Panama' notebook by Smythson costs around £40 and comes in various delicious colours. It's small for a notebook but perfect to throw in your bag. For something more special, they'll add any lettering you wish for.

Next, are these exclusive Giles Andreae 'Leather Journals' for Noble Macmillan. They come in at £45 each and you can choose from five vibrant colours, each with a sweet little motto.

These Limited Edition Pac-Man Moleskin celebrating 30 years in business ($14.95) are a must for any teenage boy or in fact, any man at all!  They are sold all around the world but I tend to find a better selection by logging on to the website

For the girly girl, Cath Kidston has to be a winner. This 'Pastel Flowers Flexi Journal' is timeless whilst this trio of books is also a great present. Buy online at Cath Kidston (£9) or on their great new US site

Lastly, for a man who knows what he wants, I like this simple yet masculine notebook with its cloth cover by Alexander Olch. It costs 85 Euros and comes in various sizes. I usually pick up stock from Colette when I'm in Paris.

3 DAYS TIL CHRISTMAS

We've talked about some great present ideas for men, woman and children, but I wanted to post something for the traveller among you.

With so many products to choose from it can be a bit overwhelming, so I hope this helps!

To start with, you need the best travel bag, well, actually you need two, but let's start with the staple shoulder bag and she'll have to make do with an old favourite to sling over the crook of her arm!

This Hermes Marwari bag is very special and not too extortionate at £710. I love this light canvas and vache leather one with a handy outside pocket for passports and tickets. It does come in gorgeous black taurillion clemence leather with a special goatskin lining but that will set you back just under two thousand! You can't buy it on line but most Hermes stores around the world should stock it.

Next (and very importantly) is the see-through inflight pouch to go inside the chic new bag, a Waitrose zip lock simply won't do! This burgundy transparent number has been a sell out everywhere and is on most girls' wish list. You can buy it online for £135 or in store again, worldwide.

And last but not least, no travel bag would be complete without the perfect pair of shades for landing; I'm mad about glasses and my favourite design by far are Italia Independent, who brought us those awesome velvet effect shades last season. For travel though, I would opt for these timeless sand blasted acetate frames which come in nine opaque colour variants to go with the frames you choose.  My pick is Amber 54 at 247 Euros.  Buy online here

Here's a list of the 4 best gifts that you should get your hands on before Christmas for your Father. This is part of our run-up to Christmas of all the best things you should get your hands on before the big day.

1. The Ferrari limited edition racing bike is a sexy bike that would make anyone's New Year's resolution actually happen this time. You can pick these bikes up at the Ferrari Store up town or in London on Regent street. There's also lots of other wonderful Ferrari memorabilia available that would make any father feel special.

2. Dalmore single malt is one of those presents that will happily keep your New Year resolutions at bay, but with this Scottish whiskey I can assure you that you will all be happy. In my opinoin, the Selene is the best to go for - it's just amazing.

3. The most amazing set of James Bond books that I have ever seen. This is a company I found in England, but I do know there's also a person in NYC that can help you with your order. This set is from Queen Anne Press in the UK. Bearing in mind every man thinks he's James Bond, this is probably one of the best presents you can get the Bond in your life.

4. Silverstone is a speedway in the UK and there's a watch with the same name by an iconic brand that uses Steve McQueen as their brand man. The brand is Tag Heuer and the watch is the Silverstone. This is a retro watch that looks amazing in both colours. You can pick this watch up at Tourneau or Wempe. It's a hard watch to find but if you beg these guys then you may be in luck. In the UK, take a look at the Tag store in the Westway Shopping Centre.

5 DAYS TIL CHRISTMAS

There are only 5 days to go to Christmas and if you're like me and have left things to the last minute then Liquid Gold Baby is here for you. Here's a list of the best 5 gifts you should get your hands on before Christmas for your mother. This is part of our run-up to Christmas, giving you ideas of all the best things to get for the big day.

1. Assouline, the online bookshop is one of my favourite places to get a special present for the most special person in your life. The Cecil Beaton book is amazing, it's a copy of his scrapbook and all of the thoughts behind the most fabulous photographs in the world together with a glimpse of the images.

2. Kindle is an inspired present to get for your mother, especially if she's one of those that likes to be up-to-date on the latest gadgets. This gift is also tried and tested. Just think, they'll be no need to drag around loads of books with you this holiday season.

3. D.L & Co is a fabulous candle, the Thorn Apple Candle is the only one you need to be looking at, it is amazing and it smells truly wonderful. Get it from Barneys.

4. The Hermes Kelly watch is just so chic in every way, your mother will wear it with pride. The tan Epsom calf cuff is the one that I'd go for as the tan and gold look so good together.

5. When talking about the ultimate luxurious present, I should mention Loro Piana and their amazing blankets. Wow, these are the best blankets in the world and in any color they look so stylish.

6 DAYS TIL CHRISTMAS

There are only 6 days to go to Christmas and if you're like me and have left things to the very last minute then Liquid Gold Baby is here for you. Here's a list of the best 6 gifts that you should get your hands on before Christmas for the children in your life. This is part of our run-up to Christmas, showcasing the best things to get your loved ones for the big day.

1. This awesome FOA Big Piano will be a sure hit this Christmas with all ages alike and will definitely bring back some happy memories.  It's a bargain at $79.99 and I can't wait to get my hands on one!

2. Stella Mccartney is the Queen of cool in my book when it comes to kiddies clothes and I went pretty crazy over her collaboration with Gap. If your little one is keen on fashion, they'll love this Lee Military Jacket ($145) which can be bought in store or online. Team with a pair of drain pipe jeans and high top Converse. It will be a collectors item in no time!

3. Every kid out there probably has one of these bad boys on their wish list and although they're expensive (ranging from $500), they do come online at the Apple Store with free engraving, making the present more personal. I've loaded one up with loads of educational books and interactive apps which will easily make me favourite God Mother on Christmas day without getting me in trouble with the parents.

4. I've talked of this delicious emporium before and their Christmas range this year is mouth watering as ever. Children of all ages will go wild for this Christmas Party Basket ($100) from Dylan's Candy Bar  and if that's too steep, gifts start at much less.

5. I'm crazy about London based present company www.gift-library.com. It never ceases to throw up an abundance of fabulous ideas. I gave these luscious Penelope Wildberry sheepskin Flying Heart Booties (£85) to my niece a few months ago and all her friends have put them on their Christmas wish list.

6. This hand crafted Trumpeting Elephant rocker is too gorgeous for words.  It costs a whopping $144 but it does make real elephant sounds and children love it. Barney's sell a range of different animals but this is easily my favourite and one to keep for years to come.

2. The new and absolutely mad bracelets from Mui Mui - the must have this Christmas.

3. A pair of Charlotte Olympia heels. Now these are the shoes that have been crafted by the Gods to fit your Cinderella's feet.

4. A handbag would go nicely with all of these amazing accessories. We've talked about him before, but Corto Moltedo is your man when it comes to the best handbags in town.

5. Loro Piana simply has to feature on any list when it come to the ultimate wish-list. Their new red-icer ski jacket it is amazing and will make the best smile for Christmas.

Rainy Days

It goes with out much of a doubt that the UK make the best umbrellas in the world.

Our reasoning behind this statement is that some of our LGB team went over there for shopping holiday and it rained. Only a little, mind you, but as you can see we have found the best of the best umbrellas.

These are by a company called London Undercover, a very slick business that produces truly great accessories, from umbrellas to bags, hats to scarves - a must for this arctic weather!

London Undercover have come up with this limited edition umbrella from Dutch company Tenue de Nimes.  They've produced a denim umbrella, now how wild is that?

The collaboration does not stop there. They've then gone to designer Hiyoko Imai for illustrations inside the actual umbrella. So, when you next get wet you'll think of this blog and wished you had one of these, just like us now!

Sharps Products

I'm always on the look out for cool new men's products and the thing that attracted me to this particular $6.50 soap was the awesome, golden, delicious colour. And then, of course, the name 'Happy me All Over'.  With marketing like that, how could one not want to stock up?

To make matters even better this hard milled soap promises to give a great lather and doesn't dry the skin like so many modern products do! It exfoliates and refreshes with extract of papaya. It nourishes with ginseng and is deeply moisturising with mango butter and almond protein.

I'm all over this great brand which has a plethora of items to choose from. They even do mini versions which come in handy for travelling.

We're asking for your help

We have just visited Milk Studios in NYC and we think it's one of the best photographic studios we've ever seen.

There is something amazing about a space that has to accommodate so many different styles and different people day in and day out, and being as curious as ever, we at LGB have decided to set out to find the best 10 photographic studios in the world.

Many blogging sites have compared the best 10 hotels in the world, but the reason we have turned our attention to the best 10 studios in the world is because we think there are many similarities between a studio space and a hotel room. People might stay for an entire week, or maybe just a day. We think one of the big differences between a hotel and a studio is that in a hotel room your dreams are not reality, but in a studio they can be.

Email us with your nominations to l@liquidgoldbaby.com. We're after the best of the best photographic studios from all over the world. We will review all your suggestions and decide exactly who we think is top!

Boxed Water

Part sustainable water, part art project, this intriguing new water company has certainly caught my eye!

The idea was to create yet another water brand but they wanted to be kinder to the environment and altogether a little different. They took inspiration from a tried and tested favourite - the milk carton!

They seem to have thought of everything and even send their boxes flat packed to the fillers. With 10% of profits going to reforestation and another 10% going to water relief foundations, you need not feel naughty about buying bottled, or should I say boxed, again!

Razorpit

Now, if you are one of the people always going down to Duane Reade and picking up blades for your razor then this is something you may just like.

This is called the razorpit and it sharpens the blades of your razor, making the razor last longer. Also, if you want to feel good about yourself, this will help bring down your carbon foot print a little!

So, slow down on going to Duane Reade and pick one of their Razor pits instead.

Moleskine

This is a note pad with a difference, this is the celebration of 60 years of Peanuts. So, if you don't like Snoopy or the Peanuts characters then stop reading now!

If you're a huge fan like us, you should try and get you hands on the best looking note pad out there. I've been a huge fan of Moleskine for a while, they are just the best companion for any trip,  or to invent your next super computer Moleskine have been at every part of my design process.

Now, the book that I plan on taking all over the world is going to have Snoopy on it; do you think that people may take me less seriously? You know what? All I can say is that I do not care. Nope, I just love these Moleskine jotters.

Minimalux

London based design brand, Minimalux have just launched an amazing new collection under the creative direction of British designer Mark Holmes.

Founded in 2009 Minimalux produces modern collections of desk and table objects, accessories and ornaments that are really just divine. This new range of objects and price points are available worldwide and are split into two parts - 'Tradition and Modernity', and 'Colour and the Machine'.

They describe their ethos as 'the opposite elements of simplicity and splendor, combined to form a unique and enticing identity'. This is certainly true of their latest collection.

My favourites include the cool pen rest and dish in cobalt, and the sterling silver pill tube. They've made their products affordable and therefore accessible to a wider audience. We predict that this is a brand you'll be hearing a lot more from in months to come.

Fishy Pedicure

This has been seen a fad in America for quite some time but London's Aqua Sheko surely needs a visit!

On first glance it almost looks like a nightclub but once you're sitting back in the luscious leather chairs sipping hot tea it's extremely zen like and rather relaxing.

The idea is pretty scary but once you're there, it's a real experience. The hundreds of mini pedicurists aka Garra Rufa fish, nibble away at your feet removing any trace of tires soles and dead skin. I went for the Deluxe which at £45 is 45 minutes and you get a foot massage at the end. Sadly they don't do a polish but my feet feel wonderful.

Fancy a Ride

The new super bike from Puma.

This is a great looking bike from a odd company that make sneakers. The Puma bike has an 80's throw back feel, the colours used provide a retro look for the bike. This is a bike to be proud of, even just as a piece of art.

There are 5 different types of bike on offer and in our opinion, the funky one is the 'Funk' bike! This is a fixed gear bike that has a retro race vibe to it. The other bikes are slightly a little bit form following function but also have a great look to them.

This is another company that allows you to part customise your new Puma bike. The bikes also come in more subdued colours, such as black but if you are getting a funky bike then I think this is going to be the bike of your choice.

It's a sad day for NYC

It is a sad day for New York as The Standard Hotel is closing the door on the Boom Boom Room.

It has come to desk that the Standard Hotel is shutting the Boom Boom Room door after tonight. This is a sad time as this club has been the centre of New York clubbing with the likes of Jay Z and Alicia Keys calling it their home to name but a few.

Yes, this is a sad time but on a happier note the venue is going to open up as a members' only club, making it even more exclusive. Really, the only change that I can see is that this move will stop hotel guests thinking they have the right to access the Boom Boom Room and personally, I really hope this move works. Bearing in mind that Soho House is only around the corner, people will be hard pushed to make a decision as to which place they should try and get a membership at.

The only benefit of this becoming a members' only place is that it will be hard to get in, but, the main benefit for the Standard Hotel is that the cost of running the place for Andre Balazs will now be covered by its members.

So bye-bye Boom Boom Room, I really hope you keep your name, and HELLO exclusive members' only club, I'm really hoping you work out, you are an amazing place with the most killer views.

Helmets

Many of you will have already heard of 'Les Ateliers Ruby' and if you haven't and you own a motorbike, get with it.

Created by Jerome Costes, Ruby is an inspirational collection of motorcycle helmets with the true stamp of French style.

Each one is made from carbon fibre for strength and has a chrome trim and lambskin lining. The quality and attention to detail is certainly there and each helmet comes presented in its own beautiful red box.

I love their website http://boutiqueruby.com where you can play for hours choosing from dozens of colours, paints, designs and sizes to create something truly special.

They're terribly expensive, the one I designed came to just over $1,000 but it's bespoke at its best and I'm sure Steve McQueen would approve!

There are a few favourite of ours, like the refreshing Mentha Tingling hand soap that has touches of peppermint - kind of makes you want to wash your hands over and over, as if you have OCD.

Their is also the old school remedies that'll make you wonder if they really do work - well, i can say they do and thank you C.O.Bigelow! Their cold and flu soak formula has been tried and tested since 1838 and is still going strong today. Just what you need in order to wave goodbye to the cold and flu.

Bigelow body lotions are not too oily unlike a lot of other lotions on the market these days. Bigelow body lotions revive the skin without giving you the feeling that you need to take a shower straight after application.

This is a Harry Potter type of shop, steeped in history with a little bit of magic put into every lotion and potion to make it just fantastic.

8 Is The Magic Number

Like Chanel No.5, I think Elizabeth Arden must sell a tube of 8 Hour Cream every minute! I don't know any woman who doesn't have one somewhere in the house.

I found this 'Sun Defence' in its cool new packaging on ASOS yesterday and it's already on its way. SPF 50 may seem a bit OTT but your face is the most important part to protect and what a nice way to do so!

It's suitable for all skin types and last for up to 8 hours whilst hydrating at the same time.  It's £22 from www.asos.com or in stores worldwide.

Dry Shampoo

Bastiste does exactly what is says on the tin, 'dry shampoo.'  The original can reminds me of my mother who always had one next to a blue Maison Pearson hair brush in her bathroom cabinet.

Good news for dark haired ladies, they've just launched 'Coloured Dry Shampoo' in two shades that has won all sorts of beauty awards.

You can buy Bastiste from Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury's, Waitrose and www.cultbeauty.com

McQueen Lives On

I've always been a huge fan of Visionaire and am eagerly anticipating No. 58 SPIRIT which is a tribule to the legendary Alexander McQueen.

I've already pre-ordered my copy from www.visionaireworld.com and when you see this beautiful short, you'll see why. Usual suspects involved; from Nick Knight and Stephen Klein to David Simms and the flavour of the year, Lady Gaga.

Dog Obsessed?

This concept of OTT products for dogs is just so ridiculous you just have to love it! It's not such a novel idea but it still shocks me walking through Harrods Pet department - they have a Dog Changing Room!

If you are dog mad and love spoiling your four legged friend then I suggest this mouth watering cake that you can personalise especially for your pet. Hand made, using all ORGANIC ingredients you can choose between cinnamon, cheese or peanut butter.

If you can't get to Harrods where the selection is quite mind boggling, then check out their website. I'm buying my pooch obsessed friend a dozen chicken flavoured eclairs as a thank you.

This is without a doubt the most sexy packaging for a bathroom.

Freshly made, this detoxifying scented bath salt with an infusion combining citrus and mandarin, with a touch of green tea, makes the most heavenly bath.

This one, pictured costs £38 and can be bought from various websites and you can see the whole range at The Shop At The Bluebird on The Kings Road.

Revolutionary SPF

RAD is a revolutionary sunscreen.

I hate coming home from holiday with bumpy, oily, clogged pores from using normal sun care on my face, so I was very excited when this appeared on my desk. RAD is SPF 16 and consists of antioxidants and vitamins to help combat the effects of both the sun and pollution. It's cool to use it on all skin types, even babies.

Pet Products

Oh my god, this is so what I need for my dog.

She only needs to hear the word 'water' and she's in the most smelly puddle, lake or stream! Usually a few hours after she's been to the pooch parlor no less.

My solution is here, Kuush, the fabulous Aussie beauty company has come out with a new range of pet products and I think this Pet Shampoo Bar is ingenious and 100% organic too.

High Tea

I went to the much talked about Dorchester spa when it re-opened and was extremely disappointed, but after trying it again a few weeks ago with a girlfriend, I was hugely impressed.

Firstly, I'm a total sucker for all those yummy Essie colours which they have as decoration in the nail bar and secondly my friend insisted on treating me to their spa tea. It was pretty incredible and I left feeling beautified and not too full, the portions are just right.

Have a look on their website www.thedorchester.com to view the full info on all the teas they do, too many to mention! Oh, and don't forget to look up the champagne one, which is of course my fave!

The set includes a wooden "jack" or target ball and eight stainless steel bocce balls, engraved with the Chanel logos and is priced at around $2,400.

Nostalgia Organics

Nostalgia Organics has a Kath Kidston feel to it with its vintage inspired wrapping and I'm mad about their presentation and packaging.

Anything from their website www.nostalgiaorganics.com would be a welcome present but I've just ordered, new to their body of toiletries, this scrumptious looking soap called Mud Pie with comforting chocolate, cocoa, and peppermint.

The Ultimate Indoor Cycle

This indoor cycle is the best on the market and at $999 it seems a good bang for your buck.

This cycle is backed by the best - Lance Armstrong, so you can be assured that some engineering has gone into the design if he is putting his name behind it. The belt drive system runs amazingly, it's quiet and easy to use.

You can also feel good in the knowledge that you are giving something back, the cycle is a "Live Strong" cycle, supporting the Lance Armstrong foundation in the fight against cancer.

Running Tech

This is the sexiest treadmill I have ever seen.

If this was in my local gym I would be on it all day. The treadmill even has an Ipod dock on it and also has some great games on it. Wow, what they do to keep you running!

The Selby

Todd Selby is a portrait, interiors, and fashion photographer and illustrator. This book, The Selby, shows people in their personal spaces with his eye for detail. It all began in June 2008 as a website, www.theselby.com, where Todd posted photo shoots he did of his friends in their homes and before he knew it he had a cult following and everyone wanted in. The Selby’s website became so famous with up to 35,000 new visitors a day that soon everyone wanted a collaboration.

Last week he camped out in the window of Paris' Colette as an art instillation, using it as his bedroom for the launch of this new book.

Crumpet and Skirt

Being a typical woman, I love wrapping presents and have reels of paper and ribbons stashed in various draws in the house.  But, every year Christmas appears and I hurriedly wrap everything in brown postal paper and string!  This adorable 50's pin-up girls wrapping paper, from Crumpet & Skirt is so sexy, my inner Monroe wants to paper my whole loo in it.  Instead I may just cut a few sheets down to size and use as draw liners.

"The journey of a thousand miles begins with but a single step." Confucius

We think that this quote best describes what we are doing here at LGB. We are here to not perpetuate the norm on blogs but to be innovative on news. We want to show and to write about travel, cars, movies, architecture and fashion in a different way. This is a place that should be your one-stop for the news on all the luxury items that surround our lives.

We have multiple writers at LGB and they are divided up into three groups:

l@liquidgoldbaby.com This group focuses mainly on travel, cars, movies and architecture. Now, when we say that, we mean that we are looking at new travel destinations or ones that have been forgotten, yet still amazing.

Cars: We are looking at the cutting edge of car technology and also looking at what has shaped them to this point.

Architecture: We are going to be looking at revolutionary design, what has lasted and why it has lasted for so long. We will be looking at designs that take your breath away.

Movies: We are looking at what is coming out, but also jumping back to cult classics. We will show trailers that we like and will write short reviews of the movies that we think you should see.

G@liquidgoldbaby.com This group is all about women and what they really want. It’s going to be your black book, your one and only source; a place you can come to for what’s really moving and shaking in the women’s fashion industry. It will include products that are needed for the busy glamorous life and where to go to get them.

B@liquidgoldbaby.com This group is all about men and the life that surrounds them. We are looking at what is hot, everything from watches to the latest in technology. We will look at what has moved us to where we are today, also looking at trend forecasting to see what and where we think trends will be heading.

We cannot wait to show you our world and would like to leave you on a great quote that we think is our motto here at liquidgoldbaby.com.

"I am easily satisfied with the very best". Winston Churchill
