We love Christmas here at LGB. The sights, the smells, the sounds, the luxury. So our pre-New Year's Resolution is to bring to you our list of top gifts this holiday season. With big time celeb fans including the likes of David Bowie, you just know that this take on the modern gentleman will be a hit. This lingerie range is quirky and exudes a real continental humour that we love. These items are made to resemble chocolates and other culinary treats, an interesting concept and a fun idea.

David Hart & Co.

IF you're looking for a new tie for work, leisure or just the Holiday season, look no further than David Hart. Based in New York, these are highest quality neckwear and come in a huge variety of designs from formal to casual. Something to suit every personality. I particularly like the tennis player which has a great retro feel coupled with a modern sensibility.

Visionnaire Magazine

Larger Than Life is the motto of this record breaking publication and it's easy to see why. As the Guinness World Record holders for largest magazine, and with fans including David Bowie and Karl Lagerfeld, they have a really unique spin on fashion. With such enormous reproductions the quality and depth in the images is amazing, you really can see very detail. Just make sure you have a very large coffee table handy...

Orlebar Brown swim shorts

This is the best swimwear I have come across this winter. The colours are bold and simple with no garish patterns and the cut is fantastic, as are the materials used. Who wears short shorts? Well, not me, I prefer the awesome tailored board shorts, but that's not to say the other designs in the range don't have something to offer. No matter how you like to present yourself pool-side, you're likely to find something suitable here.

Miansai bracelets

These new bracelets from Miansai are very cool. They have a handmade feel to them but are great quality and are made to last. If this sort of style is for you, you can't go far wrong with this brand.

Bobbi Brown's Party Shimmer pack

This new make up set from Bobbi Brown's is designed to lighten your face with a shimmering effect- perfect for party season 2011. I love the mixer and cocktail glass motif which should really help to get you in the mood for some festive cheer.

Poc sunglasses

Superior Swedish sunnies. That's what Poc makes. Eye catching eyewear with flexible application, and that's why I love these. They are equally at home in the park, on the piste or at the beach, and they look totally cool in all of the above situations. I recommend giving these a look if you haven't already.

Girl Panic

This video is an awesome piece of work, featuring some of the hottest names in fashion. Whilst I love Duran Duran, this is far from their greatest song, but don't let this put you off the video which has the kind of quality you'd typically expect from a fashion-conscious major act. The concept of having the cast acting as the members of the band is quirky and for me it really works. Check it out.

Sailor, Hong Kong

Sailor is a great store I happened upon in Hong Kong. The shop itself is really cool and has a great feel about it, relaxed but neat and tidy, while the designs have that classic casual look that's popular right now. It's all nautically themed as you might expect from the name, so bold adventurers from all over the globe will feel right at home there.

Brixton Fender cases

My Tele is going to look pretty special in this great new guitar case from Brixton. This is so much more luxurious than your regular flight case, possessing a very retro cool. They have also made an awesome Fender branded record case which is certainly worth checking out- it will satisfy the serious rocker inside you.

Valextra Avietta in green and black

I recently caught a glimpse of this awesome new bag from Valextra and absolutely love the colour scheme. Valextra were founded in Milan in 1937 and always create really top quality items, this is no exception. This is a great addition to any fashion-minded traveller’s collection.

Phillips de Pury Swatch auction

Feast your eyes on this amazing collection of Swatch watches, many of which have never before been on sale. This collection features prototypes, special editions and rarities that will be a real treat for any watch lover to witness. This is a novel invention from Erik Arlen that will help spruce up and personalize your iPhone4. You can build your own case using sections that can be stacked together over the phone, giving it a good protective case as well as making it look that little bit funkier.

I really like this idea; it appeals to the creative in me and transforms a potentially generic item into something more interesting.

Barton Perreira’s approach to fashion design is seriously edgy and cool. I caught a glimpse of these amazing glasses recently and they wouldn’t look out of place whilst driving, on the catwalk, or even on the red carpet if you’re so lucky. They are being favoured by LA’s A-list so you’ll be in good company should you find yourself with a pair.

There is a cult candle maker out there, a truly great find, and they are Pop Up Candles.

I found Pop Up during a trip to Colette in Paris yesterday, and it felt as if I had seen Wallpaper magazine for the first time. These 80s designed candles are so funky, and the aroma created from these candles is to die for.

It's clear that the candle market is fast becoming a big market for all of those trendy companies, just as water was back in early 2000.

There are some great brands out there but this is one that brings a true smile to my face.

Dr. Martens at Selfridges

From 5th - 20th September Dr. Martens will be at Selfridges with a collection to wow fans and enthusiasts alike! On show will be a variety of screens depicting the history of the iconic British brand, and a tour of the original factory. 

They'll also be a display of Dr. Martens shoes including Vintage lines, and the most recent Made In England autumn / winter 2011 collection. You'll also learn exactly what goes into making the shoes, with each little separate component and every vital ingredient on display. 

You'll need to hurry down to Selfridges men's shoe department to check it out. Expect it to be mobbed!

Inspired jeweller Tasaki comes from Japan and it's without a doubt Tasaki is really moving the whole world of jewellery design forward.

The neoclassic ring has a touch of knuckle duster about it, it looks so hot but yet simple to wear. We think the pieces you're truly going to lust after are the riveted series of rings and jewellery.

Tasaki is taking the world of Japanese pearls and riveting them to gold. It is such a simple idea but it's so hard to do. Tasaki has made it work and they look danm sexy, and totally different from the norm.

As you may know, we have a healthy love affair with the great Corto, posting an exclusive interview with him a little while back, but as you know, fashion moves quickly, so here he is, back with his next collection of ultimate arm accessories.

It's true to say that we have a love affair with glasses, and the new company on the block catching our eye of late is Reiz.  Reiz is a brand that has the geek-chic look nailed and licked into place. They've created sexy 70's business looking glasses which are the ultimate in sexy. The collection is called 'Lovely Animals', the frames are the best and a great way to complete your geek-chic look.  Reiz packaging is some of the best out there for glasses, reinforcing the feeling that you've bought a special pair of specs. Right now there's a trend for friendship bracelets, and I've looked all over the world to find the very best, and I think I've found them.  Friendship bracelets are very in vogue. Bracelets are unisex, and fast becoming a sign that you've been travelling, a bit like in India - when you go to any occasion or event you get a little red ribbon tied around your wrist.  Julie Rofman Jewelry is a brand producing the most elegant handwoven beaded cuffs. They're both beautiful and colourful to look at. They have a very clever way of doing up so that they can be pulled on and off very easily.  Next up in the world of friendship bracelets are the Chakras from Daisy Jewellery. These are a must-have as you're probably already aware but what I want to do is to introduce you to the newest addition to the family, a limited edition bracelet called 'Friendship Black'. This bracelet is a fantastic mixture of gold or silver with thread. The gold is fabulous both they're both very cool. This is truly the most luxurious in terms of friendship bracelets.  My favourite is definitely the gold 9mm Friendship Black. It's a must-have. There are a few close competitors but none quite compare! 

J'adore Paris Part Trois

I've been in Paris a few days now and admittedly, my love for this beautiful city had changed a little bit, but last night I went to La Societe, an amazing restaurant ran by the guys behind Hotel Costes making me fall in love with Paris all over again. 

This is a chic restaurant in every sense. The food is amazing and the style of the place is just plain sexy. La Societe is the latest hang out of the uber chic and to be honest, I can't blame them. The staff compare with those that work in some of the best restaurants back home in NYC. La Societe has put a new stride in my step when it comes to my love of the most sexiest city in the world. 

Today I awoke in Coste and went for a walk down towards Colette and into Goyard. I've totally fallen for their pink print, so terribly glamourous in every style they do. Stealing myself away, I walked on to my meeting with the amazing handbag design house Corto Moltedo and en route, discovered a fabulous beauty spot, Jardin du Palais Royal. Located in a beautiful part of Paris, Jardin du Palais Royal is just so French and completely stunning. On the square is also Corto's shop when you can happily fulfil your shopping addition. 

My day trip wouldn't have been complete without a look at the Ralph Lauren car collection. He has some of the best cars in the world here in what I think is the most perfect location. I have to say, I do love it when a huge power-house brand like RL use something like a personal car collection to market a brand. Just too cool. 

So, with only one day left in this city, I'm already sad at the thought of leaving, but happy to be here in my hotel room typing this to you while looking out at the sun setting in the most chicest city in the world. 

John Varvatos

John Varvatos is a brand that's always enjoyed a beautiful relationship with the rock and roll life style and they've now linked up with four-times Grammy winning band The Roots for their 2011 fall / winter ad campaign. 

The Roots are walking in the shoes of rock and roll legends such as Iggy Pop and Dave Matthews, both having done John Varvatos ad campaigns, and that's naming just a couple! 

This is a unique song just for the advert and we're proud to reveal it here, for your ears, - it really is spectacular. 

John Varvatos is one of the true gods of fashion and when his brand brought the old CBGB space in NYC turning it into a pure rock and roll themed store he secured his place as a rockstar!

  So, a super fly brand has linked with a super fly band. How amazing. 

J'adore Paris Part Une

I've been in Paris for the last few days and I've got loads to report. I'm totally in love with this city, there's just something so chic about Paris. 

First Class on Air France was a wonderful experience. Their seats are the best I've known for the price in this class. There's definitely something a little amazing about jumping on a French plane from JFK. The air hosts are incredibly chic and stylish, inspiring the utmost confidence in the flight you're about to embark upon. Air France should be your only choice when flying into Paris.

I was invited to Paris to see a few things. First up was the new Aston Martin Colette edition. I was asked along as the last review I did for Liquid Gold Baby was not the most favourable, but ultimately, I feel the same as I did before. Why has Aston Martin re-styled a Toyota IQ into what they think is a sexy car? I'm surprised at the link-up with Colette, why one of the best trend setting shops in Paris would want to be involved in a project like this is a little beyond me. 

I saw the Aston Colette edition on the street just opposite the Colette store itself, with a very elegant gentleman standing to the side of the car with the keys. I decided to put my first instincts aside, be open minded and take a closer look. After all, I'm in Paris, the guy with the keys looked fairly dapper - what have I got to lose? I sat in the car and the first thing that instantly annoyed me about this $70,000 car is that there's no inbuilt sat-nav. Just a portable device. I did think the colour combination was very cool, the silver and blue interior felt like a little bit of luxury, but it still smacked of 'pimp my ride', and do your worst on a small city car. There were a few things I loved about the car; the honey comb design sun-visor and the key chain with the Colette logo were both pretty cool, and also the two blue circles on the back of the car announcing 'Colette Limited Edition'. 

Still, I'm sad to say that my first findings of Paris were a little sad, but fear not - there's more to come in my next Paris post.

You can now look sexy in the gym with these amazing tonal colours, guaranteed to make any fitness guru ask you where on earth you got your outfit from. 

It seems that everything James Perse touches turns to gold. He is one cool man.

Neon Nails

Summer's arrived and once again 'neon' is playing a big part in our lives.  

I've gone bonkers for these nail colours by American Apparel and at a cool $6 I just had to buy one of each!

LVMH Grandson Clutch

Inspired by his wife who wore her black lac scent box as an evening bag, Killian Hennessy has launched a collection of stunning bags with a clear Art Deco feel that will never date.  

They're not cheap but will definitely be something for the archives. I saw them first at Harvey Nichols. 

Cupcakes

Cupcakes are always the best thing ever when it comes to a gloomy day.

I was wondering down Melrose LA having a bad day when I had the sudden urge to indulge in a cupcake to cheer myself up, after stumbling across the most amazing store called Johnny Cupcakes.

I wandered in and wandered out with an empty wallet and a smile on my face having stuffed my face with the best cupcakes on earth, ones with ZERO carbs and ZERO fat AND having purchased some of their amazing T's and the best set of stickers. 

Do check these guys out if you're out and about in Melrose and Fairfax as you will not be disappointed. Oh, and one last thing - these guys have teamed up with Hello Kitty and I have to say 'Hello Kitty, these are amazing T-shirts!'

1) If you had to drive only one car for the rest of your life, what would it be?

A 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS

4) Tell us about your upcoming projects / collaborations - what's next for you this year?

DC Comics project titled DRx VELOCITY where the governments have lost the war against crime and DRx responds to the threat by designing a line of supercars, rigged with state-of-the-art weaponry and technology. The first issue is starring NASCARS Kasey Kahne and showcases the artwork of legendary Phil Frost. Dropping this summer.

5) What's your favourite iPhone app?

The Hipstamatic camera app.

6) You're renowned for mixing the best things from the past with the present - what first propelled you to do this?

Vintage. I’ve always been intrigued/inspired with vintage. Vintage being everything from childhood memories to classic gear. As much a I love and respect these throwback chapters in time, it sometimes can be a bit challenging to revisit them (rock them). The jeans don't fit right, the jackets have too much damage, the memories although intact seem a bit cloudy. I wanted to preserve these slices of history but flip them so they made sense for today's consumer, and myself of course.

7) What makes an amazing weekend? Where would you go, what would you do, and with whom?

I live in Los Angeles so getting outta here every so often helps to keep me grounded. My favorite weekends are spent in the mountains disconnecting from reality. Would probably say snowboarding at Mammoth Lakes CA and or Jackson Hole WY with a couple of buddies.

8) As a kid, what first did you want to be when you grew up?

A Director.

9) If you were stuck on a remote desert island with five celebrities from both the past and the present, who would they be?

Brigitte Bardot, Jim Morrison, James Dean, Jean-Michel Basquiat and Marilyn Monroe.

10) What's the worst popular fashion trend there's ever been? 

Socks with sandals is a definite no.

At last I made it down town to see Alexander Wang's superstore on Grand Street.  

This black and white monotone shop is exactly what you would expect from Wang and the tee range is as good as you would think.  

I could quite literally live in this place, maybe swaying gently on the fox-fur hammock.

Snoopy Tees

At £89 these polo tees certainly aren't cheap even for adults but we've gone crazy for these kids Snoopy anniversary polo shirts that Lacoste have made exclusively for Selfridges.  

They would be perfect with jeans or shorts this summer and are sure to sell out soon.

An Interview with Josh Spear

I know you're an intrepid traveller, where is your most favourite place and why?

It's hard to choose favorites when there is so much left in the world to see. I absolutely love the countryside of Japan, specifically an area called Hakone. And Tokyo is an unbeatable city.

What item can't you travel without?

Curiosity.  Travel doesn't work without it. But I guess you're looking for a more concrete answer. I don't leave home without Melatonin so I can fight jet lag. Or my Blackberry– that thing has more miles on it than anything.

Where in the world do you call home?

I call NYC home, even if I haven't actually had a home there for nearly a year. I've been fairly nomadic, so I have a good selection of hotels that I call home (and they call my home) when I'm in NYC. Home is where the heart is, and luckily I've figured out how to carry that feeling with me wherever I go.

What's your most cherished item?

I have some pretty incredible pieces of art I've collected over the years– some early Takashi Murakami. I also love my watches. But my most cherished items probably are my health and freedom– so I can keep this crazy schedule up.

What would you consider to be your greatest achievement and why?

Figuring out early there was something I am good at, that makes money, and makes me happy– all at once.

If you had to choose a favourite modern day car, which car would it be? 

Fisker Karma. Henrik Fisker designed the DB9, and now he's making a DB9 to save the world.

In your opinion which fashion line do you consider to be unrivalled and are there any particular individuals shaping the future of fashion? 

I'm at odds with most of my favorite fashion lines right now. I used to be a die hard Yohji fan, and a big buyer of his Y-3 line– but they seem to be having quality issues and just not quite getting it. Dior Homme is a favorite, but they sometimes seem to push into the obscure rather than continue with the modern classics.

I like what Thom Browne is doing and how his pieces are mixing the future with the past– and what he did for Moncler was fantastic.

What's the best shop in the world? 

Colette in Paris probably. Although Japan has a couple rivals– one of my favorite for clothing is Edifice and of course United Arrows is a mecca. Dover Street Market in London is classic. 

You're famous for spotting the next big thing - what's exciting you most this year so far?

Technologies impact on how we alter behaviors and empower communities of people to share, change, and create a better future. I travelled to Sub-Saharan africa last year with a friend working on a project there and I couldn't believe I had 3G cell service in the middle of nowhere, a thousand miles to the nearest city. That's going to change everything. Everything.

Has there ever been a trend or a craze that has made you cringe?

I wasn't ever so fond of people wearing Crocs in public, despite their comfort and functionality they really should be left in the garden.    

Mario's Weddings

Wedding fever has hit British Vogue with the amazing Mario Testino shooting three different supermodels on three separate covers for the same issue. 

The brides are Lara Stone in Bruce Oldfield, Natalia Vodianova in Vivienne Westwood and Freja Beha in Oscar de la Renta. It's the first time British Vogue has ever published an issue with different covers and they've certainly done it in style! 

We've been arguing in the office over who our favourite bride is... Who's yours? 

GTO Cufflinks

If you're like me and love cars and wish that you could drive your car into the office building and park it at your desk, I think I have the solution for you.

These amazing looking cufflinks are inspired from one the most famous cars in the world - the Ferrari 250 GTO. Interview with George Bamford

LGB has a large base in the States - tell us about the set up over there, where can we get hold of your products? 

Bamford Watch Department has a few dealers in the States, we're in New York, Los Angeles, Miami and Hawaii. We also have a service centre in the States and we have just set up our new offices in London as well. 

We'd love to know a bit about you, who are your three ultimate style icons, who excites and influences you? 

 James Dean is one of my style icons, he's so cool without having to try. Terence Young is the man that gave Bond his style; Young was the director of Dr No, the person that made Sean Connery a style icon. On this list I could mention Steve McQueen, a definite style icon, but his name has been trampled on too much by commercialisation. The other person I think is amazing is Cool Hand Luke, also known as Paul Newman. How cool that a certain Rolox Daytona is now in his name. He's an amazing racing guy, a fantastic actor and also has his own food range. Paul Newman is an one of my biggest influences and icon - he really does tick every box. 

We've heard you're a massive film lover - if you could be any character in fiction, who would you be and why? 

I would love to be Batman, the man in black with the coolest gadget car, not to mention his wonderful day job and those fighting skills. Truly every man wishes he was Batman, to be able to fly but with no other super powers besides those amazing gadgets and his strength to take on the world. He is so cool.

Your favourite film of all time? 

Well as I have just blest Batman then I should say Chris Nolan's Batman. There was a time when it would have always been any Bond movie, but the last one put me off all of them. I feel more excited about going to see the new Batman flick much more than Bond 23. I do feel so sad about it, but Batman has definitely taken the role of the coolest action hero along side Jason Bourne.

Where is your ultimate weekend getaway and what would the weekend involve? 

Wow, that's a question that's made me think. . . However, I'd have to say Paris on the Eurostar to stay in a very chic and sexy hotel. There's something very sexy about Paris. From shopping at Colette and Finger in the Nose for my son, to dining out and experiencing fine cuisine. The city is just wonderful. 

I also love going to Paris as you can avoid those annoying airport delays due to frogs on the line etc etc... As a weekend getaway, Paris is just the place - from London you can be so quickly in the centre of an amazing city. 

What are your five must-have items to take with you around the globe? 

A good pair of headphones. I love the B&O ones. A good notebook - I like writing down my ideas and I am in love with my moleskin notebook, they alway make me feel special when I write in them. I always have in my bag a picture of my wife and baby in a small old school sliver picture frame. I cannot live without my iPad, I feel as though it can do everything for me, both entertainment and work wrapped up in a neat device. Lastly, a good pair of shades. I am in love with my Hogan's sunglasses at the moment. 

Being a watch designer you must have a passion for gadgets - what would you say is the latest and coolest gadget out there? 

Well, when you think of gadgets, you now only think of Apple. I love their products but I personalise them as I think personalising products that are made for the mass market is just so much cooler. You can create an individual look for already cool looking products.

What's your favourite watch? 

My favourite watch is one of my own personalised watches, a Bamford Watch Department Rolex Daytona Paul Newman dial. This is a truly sexy watch that I've not taken off my wrist, it pays homage to the original but being cased in a modern watch it's from the best of both worlds. 

What's your oldest and most treasured item of clothing?

An over coat that was worn by Peter Sellers. It's a black over coat with fur around the collar. It's totally falling to bits but this winter has just gone on and on, I did not want to take it off. I absolutely love it and love to think that it's a truly vintage piece.

As you probably remember we were sitting in a photographic studio a while ago and asked you to vote for the best photographic studios around the world. We’ve put all your answers into an old fashioned computer, turned a few handles, scratched our heads a few times and finally come up with the definitive list of top 10 photographic studios from all around the world. Drum roll please…

10. Madrid: Addict Studios

You’ll be totally addicted when you’re in this space; such a large space with a definite charm, you feel immediately as though you know where everything is.

The staff are wonderful, they have all the equipment you could possibly want. The drive outside the studio is amazing; Addict Studios goes to great lengths in carefully catering for the needs of every photographer. If you are in Spain shooting then this studio is going to be the perfect base, you’ll feel as though you’re in your own personal studio.

9. New York / Miami: Splash Light Studios

Splash Light Studios is a name very well known in the industry. Their big Soho skylight studio is truly an amazing and stunning space, and is NYC’s largest private studio space. 

Splash Light has other studios housed in a separate building that are just fabulous. You’ll feel a bit like Carrie Bradshaw from Sex in the City; this place is so glamorous you’ll want to move in straight away. Splash Light studios also provide production and equipment rental for your photography shoot. This is a studio that has every angle and every base covered.

8. Milan: Industria Super Studio 

This is no doubt that this is a fantastic studio, set up in both NYC and Milan, this photography studio started life as Industria and then went on to merge with Super Studio to make the King of all Italian studios.

Industria Super Studio provides equipment rental and also a digital suite for all the retouching you’ll ever need. Stopping for lunch is a must as the meals are spectacular. The bar/restaurant is also a must see - don’t forget to check out the wine, a must in any Italian studio. Their daylight studio is used extensively in the Milan fashion show and it is honestly stunning.

7. London: Spring Studios

When you picture a studio in London you might tend to think of a wonderfully charming, if not cold building, perhaps falling to pieces… Well, this studio is maybe a little bit like that, but it is a studio tremendously popular with the fashion houses.

One of the reasons is that they have a great bar, a bar for the ladies that book to meet their friends after the shoot. I have to say the bar is cool. Spring Studios is one of the key studios in London. They have equipment rental and retouching facilities in-house. Spring is home to lots of studios so when you’re on set it’s not unusual for you to encounter people wondering onto your set to have look, because they’re ‘lost’ – so we’re told!

6. Paris: Pin Up Studios

As with Spring Studios when you think of a studio in London or Paris you think of old and falling to bits. This is definitely one of those studios that puts a finger in the eye of that image, as this is a modern space that houses style and design.

Pin Up Studios is in the minds of our readers as being one of the best studios in Paris. On our travels we popped into all of the studios you selected to see for ourselves and we can confirm that these guys exude some terrific style, style that only the French can.

5. Los Angeles: 5th and Sunset Los Angeles

When it comes to great movie studios LA has it covered, but not so much when it comes to great photographic studios. However, there is a god among these studios and that is 5th and Sunset LA.

This is a studio that makes your own house or apartment look like garbage. The way the studio works and the way the studio looks is just so cool. These guys have everything from equipment rental to a location scouting service that is second to none; we have also been told that the food served there is mouth watering.

4. London: Big Sky Studios

As it says in the name, this is a ‘big’ studio in London, it feels so incredibly spacious you could park a London bus quite happily in this studio and shoot from it.

Big Sky Studios comprises of 7 studios and the smallest is 1600 square foot. All of them will make you feel like a big photographer. They have a set builder on site as well as equipment hire and we’ve been told there’s an amazing dinning room for all of your catering needs. This is a big studio but one that will make you feel at home in no time at all.

3. NYC-LA: Pier 59 Studio

This is a tie between two studios under the same umbrella; they’re both called Pier 59 Studios. These studios just shout ‘we’re the biggest and best around’.

This is a big studio and yes, it has nearly everything you could ever want. There is equipment rental that includes the oh-so-cool red cameras from the guy that set up Oakley sunglasses. There’s no doubt that this is New York and LA Studios at its best. Yes, we did say that about 5th Studios earlier but you have to take in to account that Pier 59 Studio is a New York based studio that’s moved down to LA.

We’ve been told that Pier 59 is the big daddy with the sense that you are making history with your photographs.

2. London: Iris Studios

This is a new comer to the world of studios but it has already made some big waves.

Quite simply, this boutique studio stands head and shoulders above any studio in the UK as they’ve taken ideas from NYC studios and created a clean modern space that you’ll want to be in.

Iris Studios provide rental of photographic equipment and offer quite a few unique features – their food is organic and supplied by Daylesford Oragnic, they have a superb retouching suite that you can hire for your own retoucher.

Iris Studios is a space that every photographer we’ve spoken to just loves. The staff there are amazing, they go out of their way to ensure every expectation is met. Interestingly, this studio used to be an old Kindergarten school and now it’s a space that has truly schooled the London studio world.

It’s clear from all the feedback we received that Iris Studios is becoming the benchmark for photography studios and is without doubt going to be apart of the fabric of fashion for the coming years.

1. New York: Milk Studios

New York studios are the best as we have already established, but these guys are the cream of the crop.

Milk Studios is one of the best studios in the world. From the service to the clientele they just have it. Milk Studios have mastered the exact formula for a photography studio, they have the big things and the little things down pat - from the great music you hear when you arrive to just absolutely everything else. These guys just know what is cool.

Milk Studios has a baby set of studios that are cheaper but just as amazing. These guys are the best in the world and the main reason being is that they’ve taken on board what makes a great studio, and simply bettered it.

They have everything from digital to their own in-house equipment rental ticking every single box for any and every photographer.

Milk Studios have been crowned the Liquid Gold Baby Studio of 2011.

Assad Mounser

They may well remind you of Tom Binns but I've fallen madly and deeply for these necklaces by Assad Mounser.  

Each one is a work of art in itself and they're not outrageously expensive either with prices capping at around $495.

Having said that, my wish list item is this elaborate 'Revival Mega Necklace' which is just under a grand!  The 'IT' crowd in the States are already going mad for a piece of Assad and I am too.

I think she'll always be able to make your draw drop. I love her in Thierry's show where she not only starred and strutted around smoking but also voiced. She still reminds me of a modern day Madonna and I love what she's doing.  

The show was pure theatre and the clothes rocked. All I can say is, What next?

Corto Moltedo Opens in Milan

Corto Moltedo opens his flagship store in Milan today, 24th February. 

After successfully launching his first store in Paris, the Italian designer's next natural move was to open up shop in his home country, and where better than a city such as Milan. 

Dita

This new range of glasses from Dita is just what you want to break the snowy feeling and bring in the summer vibe.

For the last few years Dita Eyewear has been one of the front runners on cool glasses and shades. Dita is one of the best luxury brands of sunglasses out there. They build their glasses and shades for longevity, so their style and design is thought about in every way.

Dita's handcrafted frames are truly a master piece. The chosen colours for their frames are elegant and refined. Dita is a brand putting the word 'luxury' back the world of shades.

Mui Mui Love Affair

Miu Miu is collaborating with a few female filmmakers to explore everyones love affair with this Italian super brand with a series of shorts.  

This one, 'The Powder Room' is the first, directed by Zoe Cassavetes, set in Claridges and staring Audrey Marnay.

ove the shoes, love the belt, love the dresses! It has a bit of a Black Swan feel and keeps you thinking.

Arfango Shoes

I popped in to the new Arfango store today on London's Walton Street and was pretty impressed; Lappo Elkin was there with some mates, probably the owners and was getting rather excited about the new collection.

The brand dates back to 1902 and their methods date back to Florentine crafts of the 1400's. They make men and women's accessories but I'm going loco over their shoes (launched by the young Alberto and Andrea Moretti) which are inspired but the old leather moccasin. This of course comes with a twist and the 'Velvet Shoe' as it's called, is made of silk velvet, hand sewn and made in numerous colours.  

They had on show the new collection which was very cool and has things lasered on to the material. All shoes can also be attacked by a wicked bespoke service but it takes up to 6 weeks. If you're passing, it's well worth a visit and if not, check out their website. 

Tank Magazine

Check out Tank Magazine, a UK based quarterly publication, a think-tank focusing on art, photography, architecture, literature, lifestyle and fashion. 

First published in 1998, Tank is best known for its 'informed, articulate and original' style. Tank discovers and promotes new faces and new talent in all walks of life.

UK based pharmacy, Boots always collaborates with the best teams and Nip & Fab is no exception.

Perfect Moment Skiwear

When it comes to skiwear I'm a bit of an RLX or Moncler girl, BUT, in comes 'Perfect Moment' to steal the show.  

The new Winter 2011 Collection is pure genius with something for everyone, I just hope they start a children's line soon and then it will be a one stop shop for the whole family!

The new line has been seven years in the making and has been tested in the harshest of environments by the PM team. Clothes can be bought on their online shop or in stores in Chamonix, La Clusaz, Morzine, Argentiere, Megeve, Meribel and Biarritz.

Must-Have Nails

OK, so I hate to be a traitor to my all time fave nail colours, Essie, but I am!

I went for my normal boring mani today and something oh so cool was on offer. Not only have the new Katy Perry colours arrived, but you can layer a coat of Black Shatter on top, a revolutionary new polish that creates a shattered effect. It's the perfect solution for those busy bees that don't have time for a touch up every time they chip a nail.

Mothers and businesswomen alike will be rushing for a dose of Cony Island (neutral) with a flash of shattered!

This old ice cream van has been turned in to a super cool clothing shop.

Cookies N Cream apparel have just blown us away in the street wear department. A mix of Bathing Ape meets Neighbourhood, their t-shirts and sweats are amazing.

There is a online store but if you're like me and live in NYC then just look for a big line of people waiting in line to buy from Cookies N Cream. You'll probably end up waiting behind me in that line.

How come nobody else has thought about setting up a shop on the go? It's an amazing idea as you're mobile to your customers and their friends.

When you see that line run towards it and grab some amazing threads!

Pimp My Lashes

I've got to say, I'm not the hugest fan of fake lashes but like nails, they've come a long way in the past few years.  

I can't say I would go the whole hog but I do love these lashes by Paperself and would definitely wear the smaller, corner ones for a party.  

My favourites are the 'Small Deer & Butterfly' and 'Small Peacocks' which give a rather doe-eyed innocent look.They're all inspired by the art of Chinese paper-cutting and each of their designs come with a symbolic meaning which is sweet.

They sell all over the place but I found mine online and at Urban Outfitters.

Knickers Galore

Gilly Hicks has got some cool new panties to fill your knicker draw with this year.

When I say some, there are millions to choose from! I love these ones from her 'Bloomers' range and they come in a multitude of colours.

She has stores all over America, but I buy online. They have a special 3 for £12 deal on at the moment so get clicking!  

The Scrub of all Scrubs

This is easily the chicest body scrub I have ever seen! 

Perfect for the coming winter months when we rarely take care of our skin and an absolute must for a cold January evening before slathering on oodles of cream and jumping into bed with a hot water bottle! 

Balenciaga's 'Black Body Scrub' almost looks good to use and at $96 a pot, it's possibly more sensible to place in on your bathroom shelf and look at it! 

It's a total indulgence but leaves you feeling a million dollars! They also sell the yin to their yang which comes in a pure white pot.

Ballet Fever

With the launch of Natalie Portman's Black Swan, ballet is sure to be the next big thing! It's already hitting the runways and it's only time before people start swapping their daily pilates for a ballet class or two.

I am in love with Gossip Girl bad boy Chuck Bass and I just adore his vast collection of bow ties. An episode simply isn't the same without one! So you can imagine my joy when I came across Alexis Mabille last week and his fabulous range of simply exquisite bow ties!

A graduate from Ungaro, Ricci and Dior this designer mixes his Wonderland imagination with delicious materials to create these gorgeous ties ready to be worn by both men and women alike.  They start at just over £100 and go up to his bespoke range which of course are much more.

Clothing with a Difference

Bernhard Willhelm is a funky brand that we've been in love with since it started back in 1999.

I can only say 'wow', bow down and confirm that we are in absolute awe of the new ss 2011 collection.

This is fashion that does not want to conform to the norm, as that's just boring.

Bernhard Willhelm is a designer setting light to the rules. He is one of the only designers that's not stopped wowing us all. If you are looking for a new star then please, look no further than Bernhard Willhelm.

Hostem

I was in London over the weekend and a friend of mine took me to a men's emporium that was just truly amazing.

This Shoreditch menswear-only designer space is a mix between Maxfield's in LA and Jeffrey's here in New York, but so much more wow.

Hostem is the name of the store, and this 4-room wonder of men's clothing stocks brands that we can only dream of wearing, they are all just amazing.

From Visvim to MA+ and Rick Owens to mention but a few, it is most definitely the who's who of cool brands in one store. I must also say that when you visit the store you should have a look in the back room, it has a Dr Romanelli's Prescription Shoppe which is breath-taking to say the least.  

The interior of the shop is done by JAMESPLUMB and when I say I think this is what the new modern movement is all about, you will understand exactly what I am mean.

This mixed designer store is a MUST visit when ever you're in London, you will be in heaven. This is without a doubt, already a cult shop and its only been open for one wink of a eye!

Hostem is the kind of store you'll treasure as your naughty secret, as you'll look wild in anything you purchase from them.

Out of Print

This is a moral business that may make sense to you this winter shopping season.

These cool looking T's are not only a product that you can wear, but one you'll feel good in when doing so, as these T's are from the business Out of Print Apparel.  

Now, Out of Print Apparel has only one great and moral mission. With every T-shirt sold, they'll send a book to a community in Africa. The great thing about the T's is that they are all based on great book covers; covers that have been judged so many times you just know they'll look amazing.

The Kellydoscope

If you're in London, a trip to super store Selfridges is an absolute must!

They've created the Kellydoscope, a walk-in experience if you like. The Wonder Room is always my first stop so it wasn't exactly out of my way to see this awesome fifteen times the original size cult bag with its fabulous fashion adventure in which it took me on.

This gigantic concept only runs until next Tuesday so if you feel in need of a fashion outing, get yourself down to Oxford Street quick!

Bespoke Trousers

Franklin and Gower are totally cool and are so on my radar for Spring/Summer!

Founders, Paco McCauley and Eduardo Braniff say that the brand was born from their shared love for printed pants and dressing to make a statement. Well their collections certainly do that! Aimed at men, women and boys, you can choose from three different fits and many fabrics making each design unique to you. Not only can you choose your waist size but you can also choose the length, making them easy to wear on arrival.

I ordered a pair of Seersucker shorts for my man with a subtle Charleville trim to hit the beach in this Summer and a matching pair in Palmas in minty green for my son. Totally adorable!

Finn Jewellery

I was just in Barneys and I saw this stunning jewellery designed by Finn.

The collection felt young and fun and made the other jewellery there seem old. I think Finn should be on your shopping list for christmas. Yes, your Christmas shopping list might be long, but that's what christmas is here for, to give and receive.

I am in love with the studs as they are as light as a feather as well as looking absolutely stunning in the ear. Oh, and I forgot to say that I'm also in love with the knot rings as well.

I hope you like this little find in such a big store.

Stella Bambini

I must admit, I was more than a little upset to hear that Stella was no longer going to be collaborating with Gap Kids.

I must have bought two of everything at more than reasonable prices. Having said that I don't blame her, after such a huge success, for branching off on her own. The new kids' line, which is just too divine for words, hits stores on Wednesday and I'll be the first in line at 10am.

The whole collection will be shown at her London flagship's Bruton Street store in W1.

Mac Obsession

I have a new obsession and it's make-up. 

I can't walk wast Mac without popping in to buy another piece from the 'Venomous Villains' collection, like adding jewels to a crown.

These fabulous colours are just too tempting and my last purchase was 'Cruella's' eye shadow in 'carbon' for $15.50, based under 'Maleficient's, She Who Dares' $21, it's good enough to eat! 

And while you're at it, you might as well finish the look with the 'Evil Queen's Toxic Tale again at $15.50'

Interview with Corto Moltedo

LGB think you're so cool, tell us why you decided to start up a handbag business, being a male designer? 

I always loved designing and initially envisioned a more expansive collection including clothing, shoes and handbags. I was brought up appreciating luxury and design, and by focusing on handbags I’m able to ensure the highest attention to quality and craftsmanship. It was something that came naturally to me.

What's the inspiration behind your brand and who is your biggest inspiration?

Maintaining the family passion and tradition for designing bags, while offering a unique and special product to my clients. I find inspiration everywhere I look; from my travels to the people I meet. I’m also very inspired by music. Ghettorap meets rock 92’

Where in the world do you feel is the best place to design your handbags, and how do you find inspiration? 

I work in my studio in Florence though inspiration comes from all over: reading books, going to libraries, museums, traveling, my own curious research. I love meeting and speaking with new people, and I’m continuously influenced by art and music.

Which is the one accessory you simply couldn't live without?

My Illesteva shades. 

What do you believe to be the ethos and attitude behind the label? 

To offer quality with a distinctive style, always aiming to create something new and original.

What are your 5 essentials to take when travelling? 

In my Corto Moltedo Zahm weekend carry-all , I always take a sketchbook, a camera, a book   and, of course, my favorite chili sauce.

You've done some amazing collaborations, which do you think is your best collaboration to date, and with whom?

Each of my collaborations are enriching and exciting. I recently collaborated with Tom Binns do design limited edition clutches.

What's the most favorite thing you've ever made?

The Priscilla bag.

What's your most favorite destination in the whole world? 

For 2010, it was Mexico

Ralph Lauren - WOW

I've just taken a cab up town today to do my winter ski-wear shop. Well, actually, to re-pharse, I went up to town, tried on load of clothes and come back with nothing.

I was going to go to one of my favourite style stores, the RLX Ralph Lauren Hi-Tech clothing department, but I ended up in a temple of women's clothing. Yes, that's right, me being a man, landing up in what can only be described as a 'heaven' for women. Ralph Lauren has taken on a white theme. 

I walked through the door and was greeted by the amazing smell of a RL candle. The ground floor is dedicated to women's accessories - from boots to bags, it really is the most best and beautiful way of shopping; complete eye candy. RL women never usually make me go 'WOW,' truth be told I used to think they were just a little bit old, but I now stand pleasantly corrected. This is most definitely 'WOW' from the ground floor right up to the top. 

RL certainly provides the best luxury shopping experience and so many try hard to copy them. This store is going to leave all of the others behind. 

So, if you want to pamper your girl or just want to look at the best of the best, then head up to Madison, number 888 and I assure you, you'll get that 'WOW' feeling, just as I did. 

The Toy Necklace

Shirley Fintz, I'm digging your style!  

Born in Harare, you can certainly see the inspirations drawn from her life in Zimbabwe. She's a real artist and is a dab hand at most things she turns her hand to.  

The things I adore most of all are her fabulous, comical necklaces which she now stocks at The Conran Shop. Each one is different and is adorned with tiny trinkets making each piece unique.

Pimps and Pinups

I had a meeting at Spitalfield Market yesterday and whilst walking up Lamb Street I came a across and familiar face from my days in New York; Pimps & Pinups.  

I was so overexcited, I rushed in and made an appointment for later that morning, super cool looking staff greeted me and made me feel very at home and my cut was booked within seconds. No sour faced bolshiness!

Bespoke Bracelets

When we live in an age where people seem to demand everything luxury - it's nice to see brands going one step further with personalisation and a bespoke service.

Names like Goyard and LV, who are synonymous with luxury, have been doing it for years and it's finally rubbed off on more affordable shops like Links of London.

Links have launched their 'Bespoke Friendship Bracelet' which is available in most of their big shops. Firstly, you choose between thick and thin, then choose from a dozen colours including pink and turquoise, orange and grey. You can even decide on where you would like which colours. Lastly, and this is my favourite bit, you have something special engraved on the silver toggle.

They really do make the perfect present for a best friend or lover and come in at around £480.  Check out Links of London. 

Fujifilm Finepix X100

The X100 from Fujifilm is a fabulous camera, or so I have been told, but is this another company doing a throw back to the days gone by, when the camera company was massively in Vogue?

Well... yes, but I do think and hope that Fujifilm is going to learn from all the other companies and their mistakes. Fujifilm not only brings you a sexy camera, the you will love, they're also a great company, and a trusted name.

I have heard from the camera people that the functions of this camera are going to be simple to use, so if you are in the market for a new camera and have not brought the amazing Sony we talked about a while ago, then maybe this is your new baby.

The only problem is that you're going to have to wait for this rockstar of a camera until 2011.

Little Fly

This little gem of jewellery design is amazing. It's made from paper, can you believe that?

Each piece of these amazing rings are made as one offs, so there's no chance that anyone else will be wearing the same piece of jewellery.

These unique pieces are from England and are all cut out of the book that then becomes their gift box. So, in this case, you are able to judge a book by its cover, as these books have a beautiful unique piece of jewellery hiding inside.

Balm Me Up!

If Tommy Hilfiger sculpted the early years of your life and you're now like me in thinking that they're far behind you, then look away now! And if not, then I have some great news for you.

Tommy is coming...  That's right. There's a book on this iconic brand that changes the face of urban society in the USA. This is a photo album of all the adverts and shoots that I can remember, ones that I know that you will too.

Tommy Hilfiger has an amazing contemporary take on American style and choice, with the most beautiful and classic coloured top in RED, WHITE and BLUE. The book includes tributes from a fair few admirers, like the amazing Anna Wintour and the oh-so cool Quincy Jones.

Rainy Days Shoes

If you are from England your ears should be burning in our office today.

We've come across these gum boots and we were wondering just who these would be great for, then we thought, well, it's always raining in England! 

These gum boots come from a great company called Rain Level, in Europe. Although it seems to mostly rain a lot more over there than it does here, these boots are going to be the greatest thing to wear this winter in NYC.

Scent from Heaven

This is so top secret that not even the man in the flagship shop knew about it.  

Guerlain has started 'The Customised Bottle', which means that you can have your favourite scent bottled up with a personal message written on the front. It's the perfect present for someone who has everything and let's face it, every woman has their treasured Guerlain scent and even if you don't, they've launched 'The Custom Fragrance' so that you can have your own perfume created.

Made in Space

Interview with Henry Holland and Joshua Oldfield - Eleventh Commandment

1) So, tell us about the inspiration behind the 'Made in Space' collection - where did this come from?

Made in Space is our fourth full collection and is by far our biggest to date. Our previous three collections (Made in Your Mind, Made Underground and Made in Purgatory) in a way have all been steps leading up to Made in Space, which is the first time we have really had the capacity to go all out and produce everything we wanted to for the season. At 120 pieces it has been a bit of a nightmare in some ways with lots of different aspects to juggle in production but we feel it really has something for everyone with jeans, tees, singlets, dresses, shorts, bodysuits, chinos etc etc. It is a really good representation of where we are at now as a label. 

It’s difficult to identify the specific inspiration as the collection developed so much between conception and production but I would say
predominantly the range is all about exploring the unknown. 


2) How did you guys get started in the fashion business?

We started out with a few concepts that we didn’t feel were represented in the market at the time. With some late nights, some cheap wine, a lot of trial and error and plenty of hard work we somehow found ourselves with a clothing label on our hands. Neither of us had any formal fashion training so we didn’t really know what to expect and I guess it started out as more of a hobby but it didn’t take long to completely take over our lives. We’re lucky that we’ve had a really positive response from our customers and help from some great people along the way and now we feel like we’ve built a solid foundation that will allow us to continue to expand.  


3) What piece of clothing couldn't you live without?  

Jeans. Josh and I are both denim aficionados and have been for as long as we can remember. Denim is our main focus as a label although we still move larger quantities of our jersey pieces. Denim customers want a label they know so it takes time to convince them to try something new. Hopefully once someone tries Eleventh Commandment jeans they are hooked and don’t go back.


4) What's the ethos and attitude behind Eleventh Commandment

Ultimately Eleventh Commandment is all about having fun. We want to produce the absolute premium quality denim and apparel but while we take what we do very seriously we don’t take ourselves too seriously. We are just making clothes after all. But hopefully they are the clothes you are wearing on the best days and nights of your life and you’ll associate Eleventh Commandment with that. 


5) What's your motto?

Our motto is ‘Style is a Language’. This is a mantra that first came from my travels to other countries. Occasionally I would see someone or someone would see me and we would approach each other but even though we couldn’t speak the same language we would indicate that we liked each other’s style. This was our common language. It has remained with me to now b ecome the philosophy behind our label.

Do you want to know who makes Lady GaGa's jewellery? The one and only Joji Kojima.

Joji is based in Japan but his early life was spent in the U.S.A where he was born and educated. He had his own line that you may remember, called Hotel Gluttony.

Made of gold, silver, iron, copper and Tuscan marble fused with precious stones, this wicked belt wraps snuggle around your waist with sterling sliver fingers which interlock to form a clasp.

It's totally bespoke to each client and takes 20-30 days to make, so get one the phone to cult store Culture Lab or have a look at their website, but be ready to fork out a whopping 2,752 Euros for this spectacular piece.

Tom Binns Tees

I love Tom Binns and I love the route he's going with these wicked, eccentric tees done for one of my all time favourite stores Matches.  

They cost £135 and are so much cooler than rocking fat jewels! Well, not as cool as his own costume jewellery but amazing all the same. The best bit of news is that unlike many modern t-shirts, they can be thrown in the wash on a cold cycle, now you can't ask for more than that! Buy them in one of the Matches London stores or online at 

Monoqool

When it comes to cool glasses there should be a new name in your mind and it's Monoqool.

They have designed two great frames that look amazing. The first one I want to tell you about is Helix, a light weight frame that looks like it takes its inspiration from a ring binder to connect your frame to the arms. The Helix has been designed by two great designers, Claus Jensen and Henrik Holbaek and they've won a RED DOT award for the best of the best design.

Then there is my favourite, the Twins. The double arm design is a truly great feature, layering colour between the arms to make it look amazing.

Monoqool, thank for reverting glasses to keep the visually impaired a chance to look super cool.

baby milo

Bathing ape's little brother Baby Milo has teamed up with Hello Kitty to bring you these great kids' outfits.

Bathing Ape is a brand that we've talked about a few times on this blog and it may seem to you that we are somewhat in love with them, well, you'd be totally right, we do absolutely love what they're doing.

Baby Milo's kids' range is amazing and is a must buy for all the cool kids. Baby Milo's collaboration with Hello Kitty is a pleasant surprise; the cool underground image of Baby Milo is in stark contrast with the mainstream brand Hello Kitty, and together, these brands have accomplished something amazing.

Hello Kitty with a twist of Bathing Ape is just totally cool.

Madeleine Thompson Cashmere

I've been watching Miss Thompson for a while now and her collections have grown from strength to strength.  

Each piece is easy to wear and the cashmere feels good enough to eat! Madeleine jets between her factory in Hong Kong, New York and London and always seems to be on the move collecting ideas and getting inspired for new pieces.

I could quite literally own a MT wardrobe and nothing else. I can't wait to snuggle in to her latest range, I usually pick up her pieces when I'm in London from Austique on the King's Road or from Barneys in New York.

Christies have it in the bag

Christies have a wicked auction happening in London today.  

It's being sold as 'Jewels at South Kensington' but the secret is the great hoards of Hermes Kelly and Birkins up for sale.  

Over 50 bags are listed dating from the 60s, all of which a true collectable items. A certain Matte Noire Alligator is marked at £30,000- £35,000 which makes the Rouge Moyen Taurillon Clemence look like a snip at £4,000-£6,000.

Converse have teamed up with one of my favourite childhood memories and that is Dr. Seuss.

Converse have been very clever in this collaboration, not only will their kids market open up and expand, but it will also appeal to adults like me, those that love finding a pair of really cool sneakers. 

Their high tops are definitely going to be the must-have, but do not forget to check out their cut offs, as these look amazing.

Dr Seuss is amazing and the link with Converse will see any avid collector scrambling to buy these wonderful sneakers.

Burberry Beauty

British sensation Rosie Huntington Whiteley is the name on everyone's lips at the moment.  

From model to actress and back again, England's first ever Victoria Secret's angel is appearing all over the globe, shot by Testino, to launch Burberry Beauty which comes out today at Harrods or online at www.harrods.com.

A Slave To Fashion?

Riccardo Tisci is a god and will go down in history with this couture collection for Givenchy.

The revelation, which was more of a fashion presentation than a show, has already caused quite a stir in the fashion world and I can see why! A stream of white, flesh-colored and gold works of art adorned with fur and feathers, crystals and pearls not to forget the zips made of tiny bones to keep with his usual gothic touch. Every last detail was created with thought and executed to perfection.  

This dress, shown, took six months to complete and many pieces took over a thousand hours to make..

Perfumed Locket

I don't like the name but I love the romantic idea behind this 'Vinaigrette' necklace, which in essence, (excuse the pun) is a Victorian locket with a heavenly aroma of smelling salts or vinegar developed by Durga Perfumes.

It was fashionable in the 18th and 19th Century, mostly to mask unpleasant smells, but it's a sweet idea to hark back on, especially with the use of a square of linen that has to be soaked in one of two scented liquids that are included in the sale. One more floral and the other more woody. When you wear the pendant, the heat from your skin, warms the metal and allows the scent to waft through the locket.

Eleventh Commandment is THE word in amazing original and slightly naughty T's.

Gaultier for La Perla

Jean Paul Gaultier has joined forces with super sexy brand La Perla bringing his first official lingerie line out this November.

It's not the biggest surprise as his collections have touched on the boundary for years including the famous cone bra worn by Madonna. The 27 piece collection (which will be sold in stores like Neiman Marcus and of course La Perla) will include those fabulous corsets, high rise knickers and matching bras.

Knowing La Perla, they won't be cheap, but they'll be pretty spectacular.  You'll be able to see a taster at his couture show in Paris later this month

McQueen lives on and looks strong than ever with Sarah Burton's (the new creative director of Alexander McQueen) Resort Spring 2011 looks.  

I love her direction in this collection and think there's a bright future here for such a great English brand.  I think Lee would be proud.

This is campus clothing by Ralph Lauren, and it's campus clothing that you'll look so much better in!

Rugby is the brand but as I said, the mother to this brand is the wonderful Ralph Lauren. They have mixed preppie style with causal campus wear to give you that stylish twist to the people around you on campus.

Rugby has also gone the way of Nike ID and given you a chance to customise every outfit you wear so that it's just your way. We feel there's a great choice on the website and you can personalise the iconic polo shirts so yours is like no other, especially amazing for this wonderful summer we are in.

Ralph Lauren is at the heart of the business so you know that it is going to be great quality and feel special. Rugby is a brand that has funky edge but it definitely takes its style cues from English Rugby.

Mad as a Hatter

With Royal Ascot starting I'm going back to basics with this fabulous big hat from old hatters Lock & Co. I really don't want to go the obvious Philip Treacy route this year even though I love his designs.

Italia Independent

Italia Independent is the brain child of the great Lapo Elkann, the grandson of Fiat chairman Gianni Agnelli, the style king.

Italia Independent has turned its eyes to produce ultra-light sunglasses made from celluloid acetate that makes them strong and easier to wear. Lapo Elkann has done great things with this brand, turning the name Italia independent into a brand synonymous for style and design, just as Porsche's designs did when they started. 

Italia Independent sunglasses are the best and they look good on so many people I have never seen anyone look bad in these uber designer glasses. 

Italia Independent has also manufactured a car in collaboration with Alfa. They have taken the standard Alfa Romeo Brera and made it so cool that words just cannot describe. This car is a stunning looking head-turner, and an excellent alternative to the norm.

Italia Independent is a brand we've been keeping tabs on for ages, they've been around for a while and their design and style taste is just fabulous. They stand out from the crowd in every way, this is the brand to see what is next in both fashion and the car world.

Make-Up

Tarina Tarantino is pretty darn cool. 

I'm obsessed with her jewellery, in particular the whole Alice in Wonderland route she went down, but this range of make up which is sold at http://www.sephora.com is just wicked! 

I can't wait to fill my make-up bag with a selection of these colourful goodies this summer and rock the funny cocktail rings which house gloss inside.

It's hard to believe that 4711 Original Eau de Cologne was first created in 1792.

The scent is both light and fresh with notes of rosemary and lavender and the packaging which was designed in 1820 reminds me of my Grandmother's house in the summer. She had a gigantic bottle of the stuff in her bathroom and always let me dab the lid behind my ears and on the backs of my wrists. 

It's the most classic of colognes and suits both men and women and has quite easily stood the test of time.

United Nude these are the sexiest shoes on earth. They have taken the normal high heel shoe and turned it on its head.

The Eamz takes inspiration from the classic Charles Eames chair, they look hard to walk in but are just fabulous and will make most men go 'wow'.

The Block is also another great looking shoe, in bright colours - the neon green pops out of the normal shoe crowd.

The Frame shoe is like a modern piece of art, it may not be to everyone's taste but will stand you at 135mm high and from there you will look amazing in these frame heels.

Hair bands are like socks in a tumble dryer - they get eaten or disappear. This 'Hat Attack Never Ending Pony Ball' reminds me of the rubber band ball I had on my desk at school and the neon colours are pretty funky.

Chanel Cruise Control

Could Karl Lagerfeld be any cooler?  

Just when I think he must have reached a peak, he throws out something even more absurd and totally inspiring.

I love his new tattooed tights with flying swallows and I love that he unveiled his cruise 2011 collection at the famous Senequier cafe in St Tropez where his gorgeous models arrived not only by foot but by boat and motorbike!

His short, shown on the same trip links back to time in the 70's with a bit of disco fever which rubbed off on the collection.

Threadless

This is not like any other T shirt company, Threadless is a company the relies on a community of designers.

So, if you have a great idea for a t-shirt and the guy over at Threadless agrees that it's a great design, then they put it in to production and you get paid $2500.

Threadless started 10 years ago with this concept and has been going from strength to strength each year that it's been out there. This is where you go for something different, to step away from the pack. Their t-shirt designs are always miles ahead of any other brand.

Threadless is a website that I have only just pricked the surface of and have already found loads of t-shirts that are amazing... So happy hunting.

Orgreen

This is the new super-light sunglasses company from Denmark.

Orgreen is the talk of the town on ready to wear sunglasses and regular glasses. Their use of titanium to create these wild but also amazing designs is turning the company into a power house. The bold colours they use for their glasses always stand out in a crowd.

Like Chanel No.5, I think Elizabeth Arden must sell a tube of 8 Hour Cream every minute! I don't know any woman who doesn't have one somewhere in the house.

Louis Morais

Louis Morais is a talent if ever I saw one.  

His jewellery designs are a breath of fresh air and I love everything his creates. He uses precious metals, stones and ancient treasures like sandalwood, Brazillian ebony, woven hemp and even croc and lizard skins.

These skull pendants are so on the mark and I'm mad about these colourful, almost tribal bracelets each with a simple charm my favourite of which is the four leaf clover in yellow gold from 750-1000 Euros.

He has stockists all over the world including Scoop, Bergdorfs, Bamford and Sons and United Arrows.

Beach Couture

Who is Californian based Elizabeth Southwood and why have I never hear of her? This swimsuit is beyond sexy! I just showed my husband who almost fainted.  

Dubbed Beach Couture - The Goddess One-Piece $222 is simply stunning. Its gold detail between the plunge cut-out make it look so chic, creating one hell of a statement.

I fear this particular design can only be worn by super skinnies but the range is big and they have something for every shape. Get ready for those double takes this Summer! Dr No eat your heart out!

Ralph's

Ralph Lauren recently opened at Blvd St Germain in Paris and the good news is not just the 23,000 sq. feet of RL but Ralph's, a restaurant!

One can eat under grand umbrellas in the cobbled courtyard or in true Ralph style indoors, cocooned in original wooden paneling with antique fires.

It's Paris glamour meets old school America at its very best. The bar serves fabulous cocktails, too many of which to mention and the private lounge is good for business meetings or secret rende vous.

The menu is spectacular with Maine lobster, Maryland crab, traditional hotdogs and Angus beef, to name but a few.

Summer Shoes

It's always hard for men to find the perfect holiday shoe so I've made it my mission to find it! 

Harry's of London, the old Harry's Rubber Soles which was created by Tamara Mellon's ex, Matthew Mellon has always interested me and these 'Jet Moc Loafers' come in an array of colours and are made from the softest of Italian suede.  They're also super light and easy to slip on.  They'll set you back a cool £275 and you can buy online at http://www.harrysoflondon.com or at their incredible flagships 59 South Audley Street in Mayfair or by appointment at 645 Fifth Avenue NYC.

Tod's - now, you may think is a bit of a cop out but they sure know how to do easy loafers!  Their Gommino range, shown, also come in an array of colours and their prices are much the same as Harry's but change depending on which country you're buying from. My favourite shop is in Capri as they have limited colours but these are pretty cool.

The last of my top 3 has to be Fin's which was started up by Alexandra Finlay who says her sole purpose in life is to better the feet of all the men in her life. Again, she has a vast range of colours and the best bit is that they'll only set you back £90. The only bit I don't like is the front which, like so many loafers rise up like a boat. Having said that, they're a the perfect present or holiday shoe.

Another reason to be jelly of beauty Molly Sims; the launch of her kick ass jewellery collection.

I've been watching her site since the beginning of the year and it's fabulous. Everything is over the top but totally wearable and I love her throwback to the sexy 60s with influences from Kennedy, Hepburn and Bardot.  I've fallen for these vintage style necklaces ($125) which will surely make a Summer outfit by the pool, chic as they come!

Former Gucci designer Tom Ford is launching a line of lipsticks in 12 amazing colours.

Funky Nails

This is SO unbelievably naff I LOVE it!!!  

www.minxnails.com sells nail art, like the stickers I used to have as a teenager. You can't really put them on yourself but I know that Bliss Spa will put them on for you and have a huge range.

It's a little more expensive than a mani and you wouldn't want them all the time but if you want a change, go for it. They have all sorts of colours and patterns and although they have these black and white striped ones on their website, I had the red and white stripes done and they are wicked.

Globe Trotting

I adore Trotter cases and I think they have one of the most simple but interesting websites, it's like an old fashioned train station. Having said that they have the rudest saleswomen in their shop on Burlington Arcade! 

I loved their collaboration with Agent Provocateur last year with their novel patent leather trim and hot pink stitching and the naughty vintage pictures on the silk interior. This season they've almost done as well with this Limited edition NYC wallpaper design by illustrator Russell Bell in Carbon Blue, and this Erdem Vulcan Fibre in JCB yellow with black leather trim and a modern floral Japanese inspired silk print.

With the hype of Tim Burton's new Wonderland, everyone has gone Alice mad.

They are like David vs Goliath and as you can see they are winning. These ultra light highly durable sunglasses are the cutting edge of great sunglass design. It's every so often that sunglasses have taken this great jump forward and I am so happy that these guy have. Ic berlin is a brand that you are going to hear more about.

Rag & Bone

Brit duo Dave Neville and Marcus Wainwright formed their awesome label Rag & Bone back in 2002 and I've watched it go from strength to strength.  

Starting with simple denim, they went on to design for men and then, to my joy, women.  

They're on a roll and I could jump in to any one of their looks, easy to wear and super laid back.  These summer knit long johns are so cool and a welcome change to skinnies!

Chelsea Rebelle

This bow covered dress by CR (£495) is completely crazy!

As always, the silhouette is right on trend and with Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland having just come out, it's perfect for a Mad Hatter's Tea Party.

Psycho Bunny this is the new polo shirt!  

As you may know Psycho Bunny has been around for a while now, I first saw their neck ties in Barney's in about '06. This is what a polo shirt should be about. The fit is amazing and the cotton used is fab. This British designer Robert Godley has hit NYC by storm and shown the big guns how it is done.

LV vs Goyard?

These beautiful knickers by Strumpet & Pink are a must.  

Edinburgh based artists Melanie Probert and Lisa Morgan started this company in 2002 and it's gone from strength to strength.    

This one, pictured, is called "Lady Hume's Bush", and I think they're heavenly.  A must for anyone going on honeymoon, worn under a shear baby-doll nightie, or for me, under a floaty dress to make me feel even more feminine... or you could wear with perhaps nothing else at all!

Zimmerman

Exclusive to www.netaporter.com Zimmerman is Australia's Heidi Klein but oh-so-much cooler!  

I'm obsessed with this bandeau cut out one-piece.  I fear it's time to get serious and ditch the Winter snacks!  For those of you who want a more forgiving look, they've come up with a Grace Kelly style number that twists at the waist, great for after lunch by the pool!

With names like 'Mint Candy Apple', who wouldn't fall over themselves to stock up on Essie nail polishes.

I always bulk buy from nail bars when I'm in New York and take a selection on holiday. There's always a rainy day when I like nothing more than hanging out with the girls having a good paint over a cold Corona.

This season, I'm in love with the romantic, pastels they've brought out.  Boring, maybe, but they go with absolutely everything and they look good enough to eat.

Giles

I'm crazy for Giles and his SS 2010 collection rocked.  

He's back on the bug trail and the spider plays a major role on his prints this season.  But more than that, I love his new prom dress and hold him up high for hanging on to the fluro colours from last summer that we all love.  Don't throw your Essie 'Short Shorts' just yet.
